AUSTRALIA DAY 2012 IN PAKISTAN This is fourth year that Australia Day will be celebrated in Pakistan. The venue is yet to be decided but looks like the majority is in favour of Karachi so wait for the next newsletter.

CONGRATULATIONS The WACE results are now announced and congratulations to all the young ones including Daniyal Zubair of Rossmoyne Senior High School who have achieved high scores and will be soon starting a new phase. Best Wishes for their future endeavours. Our congratulations also to the Umar Ali of Lahore, who participated in the Sydney to Hobart race with a team including his grandfather and apparently had too much fun. Finally best wishes to Felix Pal and Rida Ahmed from Perth, who will be attending Model UN at Institute of Business Administration, Karachi (MUNIK) as members of the international secretariat. Felix will be chairing the UN Conference on Sustainable Development and Rida will be chairing the League of the Arab States. The event is scheduled from 18th January onwards.

As the number of our facebook members is about to hit 400, a number of questions are raised by prospective students and immigrants who want to make Australia their home. Jawwad has compiled a list of frequently asked questions which is available as a document now on our page.

THE CRICKET MANIA


The Cricket mania is about to hit Perth with almost sold out event and for all those who have been praying that Sachin makes his century of centuries at WACA, your wishes are about to come true so get ready. At the same time Pakistani team is heading off to Dubai to play against English team and will be a hot topic on our facebook.

FITNESS ON RUN PROJECT: Fitness outdoor by River Moore


Please confirm at your earliest if you want to attend the ECCWA event at River Moore in Guilderton. Only 1 hour drive north of Perth CBD, Guilderton is a traditional West Australian holiday village located on the banks of the Moore River at the Indian Ocean. It is an Ideal place for all ages with river and ocean access, lovely bush walks and a choice of country style caf. You may also choose to stay overnight as there is a range of accommodation options.

FAREWELL TO 2011 Thanks to all who attended the end of year BBQ, especially to Amir Shah, Usman and Umer for taking responsibility of traditional BBQ and congrats to Yasir and Wasif who were the top ones in Pool championship.
