EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

In the first part of the project report, a detail information about Nokia, its Handsets, its History, Milestones, success, its Strategies to be the leader in the market is given. It also includes a detail information about its competitors like Apple, Samsung, RIM, etc.

Second part of the project report includes the downfall of Nokia and its share in the market, its causes and effects due to entrants like Apple, Samsung, RIM and others.

And finally the last part consist of the strategies adopted, strategies planned and projected, its mergers with various blue chip firms like Microsoft etc. in order to retrieve back to the top position.

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY:

y To study the overall share market of Nokia in India and Global level. y To study the causes and effect of downfall of Nokia in India and global level. y To study about the cell phone manufacturing firms responsible for the fall of Nokia. y To study the strategies being adopted by Nokia to retrieve its position.

LIMITATION OF THE PROJECT: y Nokia being a vast topic, only an eagle eye view could be studied. y Also due to time constraint & partial information available from sources, the topic rolled out to be controversial study.
