What if I caused someone to slip and fall because of me, And to be separate from God for all eternity. It would be better for me now, theres no place I can flee, To tie a rock around my neck and jump into the sea.

I think I have a problem, I dont know what to do My friend just came and asked me to try out his home brew. They said it tasted really great, and finished with a kick, I know someone who drank it, and they got really sick. Some think it may be quite alright, and most would say its fine To sometimes have a drink of beer, or taste a glass of wine; Or when Im out to dinner, cocktails would be ok, And bubbly at a wedding would really make the day. But surely one quiet drink at home wouldnt really matter; Just one drink can make some types madder than a hatter. And then, you see, they just cant stop at 2 or 3 or 4, Until theyre really rotten drunk and rolling on the floor. His eyes are always bloodshot, his heart is full of sorrow, And every time you see him, he always wants to borrow; These days hes always at the pub, trying out new drinks, If only he could smell his breath, hed know it really stinks! He gazes at the glass of wine, how smoothly it goes down, Then bites him like a poisonous snake, he really is a clown. And he says such stupid things that would shock him when hes sober, But tomorrow, silly him, hell do the same things over. He tries to stand and sways about, like a ship tossed in the sea, And has hallucinations, Im so glad hes not me. In Proverbs Chapter 23 and in Verse 35, He staggers on his way to home cause hes too drunk to drive. He didnt feel them hit him, in his drunken state, There was no one else about and it was really late. Wake up, you fool, look around, take stock and really think; Sorry mate, its all too hard; lets have another drink. God warns us once again, in Proverbs 31, That drinking wine and alcohol is no way to have fun. If leaders guzzle alcohol, they cannot give their best, In remembering the law, and helping the oppressed; This stuff is for the dying, and those in deep distress, To forget their many problems, for their life is such a mess. So can you stop at one, or must you have a few, Do you have a drink or does the drink have you?
