This film is a development of the previous Disney movie titled Alice s Adventure in Wonderland which is taken from the book with the same title. The previous Disney movie was made in cartoon in 1951. The remake is made in animated movie with some real actor. But, most of the characters and place of this movie are computerized. These two (1951 and 2010 type) have a relation; in 1951 Alice dreamed about her journey in Wonderland but in 2010 she realizes that it was real and it s not only just a dream. It s told that Alice is on her way to a tea party which is actually it s a surprise engagement party for her. When it s the time, Charles asks Alice to be his fiance, but suddenly Alice is distracted by a white rabbit holding a ticking watch. Alice stops the engagement and asks permission to leave for a while. Because of her huge curiosity, she follows the white rabbit, even she follows the rabbit in to a hole beneath the tree. There s something pulls her in, and then she falls down in to that deep hole. Then she finds herself in the very weird place. There, she meets Tweedledee, Tweedledum, the white rabbit and the caterpillar named Absolum. They say that Alice is a warrior who will save them from Jabberwocky and fight the cruelty of Red Queen. Jabberwocky is a dragon of the cruel Red Queen, it also ever ruins White Queen s village. At first, Alice is so fearful, she doesn t believe it and she assumes that she s dreaming. But then Absolum tells her that this is real, Alice ever visited Wonderland when she was little. Yes, Alice remembers that, and she starts to feel that s real. But she still isn t sure about the fact that she is the one who can kill Jabberwocky. Accompanied by Dormouse and White Rabbit, she meets Hatter. Hatter will send her to the White Queen s palace. But the way to White Queen s palace isn t as smooth as they imagine, they trap in some adventures that make Alice finds her courage. So, with the help of Hatter and Cheshire cat, Alice is able to reach White Queen castle. And she and White Queen s soldier can kill Jabberwocky and punish the Red Queen and her loyal warrior, Stayne. Tim Burton as a writer and director gives the role of Alice to Mia Wasikowska, Johnny Depp as Hatter, Anne Hathaway as White Queen and Helena Bonham as Red Queen. Those great actors attract people to feel the movie like it is real even though there are a lot of scenes that seems absurd. And the Wonderland is really imaginative and creative. Moreover, it has deep meaning that we have to be brave to face any criminal or bad thing. And again, to increase people s interest, this movie can be watched in 3D. Most of the settings and the characters in the scene are nonsense. And sometimes there s no relation between one scene and another. But overall, for fantasy movie, this movie is really recommended. It has grabbed Oscar Awards in 2011, Teen Choice Awards 2010 and nominated in so many categories of another awards. Furthermore, this movie also suitable for family time because it can reach any ages and it only has one conflict so it s really entertaining.
