This company is a manufacturer of fasteners for the automotive, off-road, farming and construction industries. Assignment: Decrease the past due and increase manufacturing efficiency. Machine operation efficiency was 35% at the point in time I was hired. Upon hire the fa cility was 10,000,000 lbs in product, $11,500,000.00 in dollars past due to thei r customer base. Achievements: Our past dues have been decreased to under 200,000 lbs since Augus t of 2006 and our machine efficiencies have increased to 60% overall. Assignment: Decrease our down time on production equipment. Achievements: I have my engineers now completing Bills of Materials on all jobs completed from the heading schedules, including tool layouts, progression sequen ces and any special features, which will eliminate down time searching for tooli ng that has already been proven out and in stock. Achievements: I took a $5,000,000.00 dollar purchased company and owner sold 5 y ears later for $13,000,000.00. I evaluated the equipment, people, process, work flow, and all outside operations and vendors. Assignment: Make the transition between the old Rivnut(R) culture to the new own erships culture and philosophies. Achievements: Over a two year period we changed the gross margins of our top 45 products by 2.6% which converted to $360,000.00 of savings Assignment: Retrieve small run business lost because of lack of service. Achievements: In the first 8 weeks we shipped $75,000.00 worth of product and de creased our small run orders by 70%. I implemented a short run center to improve our deliveries from 12 weeks to 4 weeks or less. Assignment: Increase lack of sales and retain current workforce. Achievements: The President and I transferred 11,000,000 pieces of product to ou r facility from our sister companies and added $682,000.00 to our sales and met all customers' expectations. Heading Manager 5/1991-11/1992 Atlas Engineering- Tallmadge, Ohio I found this position while out of employment, this facility was in competition with BFG-Rivnut(R) division, they manufactured most of the small run orders that BFG would overlook. Atlas manufactured the same products as above, an internall y threaded fastener Assignment: Design and engineer tooling for a 4 die Waterbury progressive header that the owner had purchased but had no one to run or tool up. Achievements: Project was completed in 3 months and during my short stay I incre ased productivity by 15%. I also trained new employees to run our heading equipm ent. Operations Manager 3/1990-12/1990 G&G Header Die, Inc. - Maple Heights, Ohio I left SPS Technologies to help start up a tool and die shop with a friend.
