n et December 3, 201 0 From May 15, 2007 to December 3, 2010 my position was Western Regional Sal es Manager for Uniweld Products in Ft Lauderdale, Florida. Uniweld manufactures oxygen/fuel gas cutting equipment for steel fabrication and erection, demolition , scrapping, plumbing, HVAC and much more. My duties were to coordinate and faci litate all sales activities throughout the Western United States including Hawai i, Alaska and Guam. Responsibilities included the coordination and direction of several sales rep. companies that sold Uniweld in a particular area; traveled extensively throughout my Region making sales calls on welding distributors, har dware stores, farm and ranch stores, industrial sites, power plants, gold, silve r and copper mines, and any other cold calling prospect that showed promise; cal led on most of my 450+ established customers at least once per year with some requiring much more attention; coordinated and set up various trade shows throug hout the year and gave safety and product discussions for customer personnel; gave demonstrations showing how to properly use the equipment manufactured by Un iweld; distributed literature and complete product binders; was able to approach several very good accounts that had never purchased Uniweld prior to my determi ned call practices; full responsibility for my call schedule, time on the road, hotel stay, product approach, selling points, costs, returns, closing sales, ope n house coordination, company car upkeep, sample presentation, problem solving; quote preparation and presentation and any other requirement as may be necessary . I also kept complete and accurate records of all sales calls, both physical a nd phone and expenses for each week. All of this was performed out of my home o ffice in Mesquite, NV. I also have 41 years of hands on experience in all phases of the structur al and miscellaneous steel fabrication industry. This includes shop steel fabric ation and welding; field erection; detailing; project management; estimating; co ntract negotiations; design consultations with Architects, Engineers, Owners and Contractors; purchasing; shipping; AWS D1.1 and D1.5; City of LA Codes; AISC co des; CalTrans codes and requirements; quality control procedures; Nevada Departm ent of Corrections Non Custody training ; US Department of Labor and Nevada MSHA surface mine safety certificates. 1962-1966 BS Degree obtained from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas May 15, 2007 to December 3, 2010; Western Regional Sales Manager for Uniweld Pro ducts, Inc Ft Lauderdale, FL as described above.
