Teaching course material (from 2004 - present) and developed XML-related project s with students. Requirements Engineering: Ph.D research studies; mainly focus on applying evolut ionary computing (EC) algorithms to optimize the components inside the requireme nts elicitation and modeling. We established an EC tool to automate the process of optimizing a requirements model. * Software Engineering (Object-Oriented System Analysis & Design, System Process M odels, Documentation) Received the software development life cycle certificate course (followed DoD ST D-2167) in 1993, then worked at the development team of Management Information S ystem, Chinese Air Force, 1993 - 1995 Course teaching at NCKU, Tainan, Taiwan from 2004 - present. During the semester s, assist students to build up software systems by applying object-oriented tech niques. Optimization Evolutionary Computing (EC): The main algorithm applied in my PhD thesis. Based on the algorithm, an EC-based tool is developed to optimize the requirement mode l as the entry of software development. In 2006, we further applied the EC theor y to the optimization of web service components. An experimental model is built through a trial UDDI registry server for the SOA concept implementation. Multi-Objective Optimization: a novel algorithm regarding the multi-objective pr oblems from the real world cases and based on the analysis of distance relations hip is developed in my PhD thesis. The algorithm is applied in the EC tools afor ementioned. Programming Languages Java (J2SE, J2EE, J2ME): used to build an XML-based Web service applications (re fers to "Publications", no. 10); programming language used for course teaching i n Chinese Air Force Academy and National Cheng Kung University and Oakland unive rsity. C, C++: Programming languages used for my Master and PhD programs to establish t he experimental models.
C#: used as the programming language for developing the ORMIT (Operational Risk Management Information Tool) for Crisis Management Society of Taiwan, R.O.C. (CM ST). ORMIT is a tool to assist the analysts to identify hazards in an operation, to provide solution suggestion, and to evaluate the efficiency of the solution. Project ID : 1Z950508 Approved No. : 217 Position : Technical consultant Project Date : February, 2007 to July, 2008 Project Title : VR Tour Project Type : Research Project Company : Highlevel Co., Ltd., Taiwan Abstract: A virtual reality (VR) tool is developed to provide users a convenient and friendly guiding interface of realizing a reality environment. Computer-aid ed VR guiding applications have been one of the most popular fields in virtual s imulation of our daily life. The problems are the high development cost and long development time in current supported technologies. Due to the problems, the ge neral users can't easily enjoy the applications in our daily life. Moreover, cur rent technologies including 360o panorama VR and Cubic panorama VR can only supp ort fixed point guiding view. To conquer the problems, this project provides an integration solution supported functions from reality photoing to web-based pres entation. The communication format is all based on XML. The innovation is to bri ng users' virtual view into a new stage, from fixed point view to real-guiding v iew. REFERRED PUBLICATIONS 1. W. C. Chang, C. S. Wu, C. C. Fang, and I. K.
