As Chief Systems Analyst developed new, faster alg orithms for missile tracking calculations to support requirement for higher proc essing speed. Existing descrambling systems at NSA were o nly processing a fraction of signal volume from international crisis. As Senior Cryptographic Mathematician, developed unique single filter decryption process w hich sharply reduced processing overhead. Increased signal processing capacity 5 00%. Engineered simple fix for Milstar messaging problem. USAF Terrestrial Segment R& D cost nearly $12M per terminal. When message rate problems surfaced during test ing, took the initiative to analyze buffer size. Proved inadequate buffer size w as root cause. Avoided expensive upgrades with quick fix.
