REAL CHRISTIANITY-PART II

WEEK 3 - STAYING FOCUSED -

INTRODUCTION
If we are going to live the kind of Christianity that Jesus is really calling us toa life of radical and extreme devotion and lovethen we must stay focused on the ONE THING (Ps. 27:4): Jesus Christ and dwelling with Him. So many times things distract us from keeping our eyes on only Jesus so we must allow the Holy Spirit to teach us to keep focus and concentration on the eternal instead of the temporal. We will become even more focused on Him as we know His focus is on us at the same time.

THE FATHER IS FOCUSED ON US Matthew 6:25-32 (NIV) "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? "And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. a. i. ii. iii. We have the Fathers 100% attention all the time! It IS to ponder; to declare; to converse with ones self out loud; to pray; to celebrate something in song. 3. Meditation is rehearsing something inwardly or outwardly 4. CONCLUSION ALTAR MOMENT

Real Christianity is truly placing the gaze of the eyes of our heart upon the Father, allowing Him to make our lives into what He wants. We must forget the past, directing our heads and hearts forwards and fixing them on the Father of Glory. We must make the meditations of our heart come out of our mouths as well in order to keep our eyes fixed on Him.
