Jerry was the manager and chef at the Old Pos t Office, and Piano Cafe located in Milton. The Old Post Office is an antique ma ll with a cafe for lunch and the Piano Bar for more up-scale dining. Jerry manag ed the operations of the antique mall as well as managing all of the aspects of the two restaurants. He also served as the prep person and chef. It was because of Jerry's enthusiasm and teaching that I decided to become a dealer and open a booth at the antique mall. Jerry was never absent from work and frequently worked 7 days per week. He is an amazingly hard worker. He made sure that the store was always opened on time an d kept things working smoothly. I have no doubt that he frequently put in 80 hou rs or more each week. Jerry is an outstanding chef and truly loves to cook. He is also an expert in ma ny types of antiques and vintage goods with a special talent for glass and porce lain. I have seen him deal with some very difficult issues with grace and profes sionalism. He is also a patient trainer and teacher to his staff, dealers, and c ustomers. He is a good salesman and can easily up-sell and close transactions wi thout being too pushy. In short, I think that Jerry is an exemplary employee, ma nager and chef. I would not hesitate to hire him it I had a business that requir ed employees of any kind. In the last few years, Jerry has become a personal friend of mine as well.
