ABSTRACT
In todays competitive world the performance appraisal system carrying the vital role in an every organization. The prime objective of the performance appraisal system is to appraise the employees job performance in an organization. A performance appraisal program will help the employees in developing their processional skill, to meet the companys objectives and goals, ultimately contribute to the companys button line. The aim of the study is to evaluate the employees performance, identifying the current performance of the employees and the important skills that they need to develop to become more productive. The present performances of the employees are discussed and data were collected from the employees through the questionnaire and are analysed here. The study was done at Spinner pipes with special reference to Performance appraisal system. The study periods were 14 days. From the whole population, 60 employees were chosen as sample for data collection. All the necessary data were collected from the selected sample using questionnaires. In general a study was done to identify the different activities of the Spinner pipes its department, the overall organization structure and the performance appraisal system followed in Spinner pipes. The study was conducted to know the opinions of employees in Spinner pipes and to know about the present performance appraisal system, suggestions, and problems faced.
