Senior Correspondent Stan Brooks says folks are already camped out in Times Square. Its going to be freezing. Shots of people celebrating and wishing the camera "Happy New Year". We dont hear them but we can read it on their face. People jump around in a huddle, some of them scream, wave and smile. Happiness is in the air. 12 EXT.NEW YORKER.NIGHT The GIRL looks to cross the street and decides to walk a little more as the camera pans up to establish Hotel New Yorker across the street. The camera at Times Square catches hold of the four guys we earlier saw at the bar. HUSSAIN does not react to the camera, JC gives the guy holding the camera a hug and does something that causes the camera to shake violently and TURIYA pulls JC back, still trying to keep unconscious KARAN straight.

The girl is on the bed fiddling with the remote. She catches a second of the festivities at Times Square before changing the channel and watches Marilyn Monroe kiss Tony Curtis (in SOME LIKE IT HOT - the Good Night, Good Morning scene minus the audio). The Clock reveals its 2.35 a.m. 16 EXT.CAR.NIGHT TURIYA shoves KARAN in the backseat as JC cuddles up to him and slams the back door of the car. He gets in as HUSSAIN drives off. 17 INT.HOTEL ROOM.NIGHT Back at the hotel room, the girls finally sleepy and turns the light off as Out of the blue comes to an end. 00:05:45 18 INT.HOTEL ROOM.NIGHT Blank screen as phone rings. The lamp comes back on. GIRL wakes up, looks at the clock. It shows a little over two five. She reaches out to the room phone just to stop it from ringing from across the bed. GIRL sits up after the nightmare. It is still dark. She lies back as we hear sounds of her turning in bed restlessly. Light switches on. She sits up and looks at the clock. The time is now 2.32 a.m. She sits up on the bed. For the next ten seconds, she does nothing but think as all we hear is the sound of the clock. GPS dot blinks in the car and the phone rings as TURIYA realizes its his phone. The music is loud as he picks up the call nervously looking at the number and all he hears is a dead line. 26 INT.HOTEL ROOM.NIGHT 26

GIRL has just hung up her phone and wonders if she should call again. Her mobile rings and she does not know what to do. She walks to the couch, sits and picks up the call.
