Have fruits ,juice or biscuts instead of break fast every Monday : Sairam Friends, Its written in the sacred Book Guru Charitra that a women who regularly does fasting on Mondays and worships Lord Shiva will be blessed with a Good Husband. For men who do fasting on mondays and do pooja to lord shiva, they will be blessed with good wife. I wish all children of God in india learns the importance of devotion in gaining blessings to get good life partner. So i am not asking you to do fasting as some people are able to do. All i request is please have tea, coffee, juice or some fruits like bananna in the morning of every Monday and offer your prayers to Lord Shiva. I write this because i dont want many who don't have habit of fasting to try this suddenly. Shirdi Sababa also has said that when we are in hunger how can we show devoton on God.So have little food/fruits and offer your prayers to Shiva lingam. You can have lunch and dinner as usual. Every Monday Pooja for Shiva Lingam : If possible get a statue of Shiva Lingam made of stone or marble. A little statue will do. If you live abroad etc its ok.Simple take print out of any Lord Shiva - Parvati photo by search google and keep with devotion offering flowers every monday and lighting lamps. For Devotees who has Statue of Shiva Lingam : Please perform Holy bath ( Abishekam) to lord shiva statue. See, you have to take some milk, honey and water in seperate vessels. Keep a small tub and a resting place for little Shiva Lingam. First Offer water, then Milk, again water, Honey, again water and then if you have Kumkum ( red sacred ash ) , please keep it over Shiva lingam along with Vibuthi. Light lamps to Lord Shiva : Lamps...lamps..lamps...the more lamps ( diya ) you light the better your life will be. You can see from what i wrote i have not written a sacred rituals based on scriptures etc. My goal is to simplify devotion so that every one in this fast world starts thier day with love on God. Hinduism is a beautiful religion but people stop their devotion just in doing pilgrimage to temples once ina while or they perform pooja rarely. Devotion to God must come from deep inside your heart. Its a personal factor. Thats why through StarSai.com i have given importance to Pooja. So once you did Holy bath to lord shiva , please light Lamps . I request you to light 2 lamps. Any day when you can take proper safety measures ,please keep a big steal tray and light 27 lamps or 108 lamps. Well, if you are in india, you can get earthern lamps to light so many lamps. If you live abroad next time you visit india, Get few brass lamps for yourself and also gift them to your friends and encourage them to regularly light lamps in their house. This is a great Seva. Shiva Lingam Pooja : Once again let me clarify once again all the time you do this pooja you can chant "Om Namah Shivaaya" with devotion on lord Shiva and Parvati devi. You can also chant any mantra you like about Lord Shiva . I shall try to provide few mantra in the days to come in saipaadhalingam.com Forgive me as its not a Shiva Pooja as explained in holy scriptures ..Its simplified one :

Sai ram friends, This is a Simple Shiva pooja written by a very ordinary Shiva bhakta. I am not a priest and don't have knowledge about vedas etc. So if you are able to gain knowledge about doing proper Lord Shiva pooja by reading any sacred pooja , i highly appreciate it. My intention is to make all indian youths have a spiritual track in their life.So tried to simplify Pooja for Shiva as i used to do. Well, i really don't fast friends. I am not able to . I do have friends who can fast all 3 times on mondays. So its personal thing. so instead of fasting , have fruits , juice etc.. Reminder of this Shiva pooja Step 1 - Prayer to Ganapathy by chanting "Om Lakshmi Ganapathaye Namah" Step 2 - Start Chanting "Om Namah Shivaya" Step 3 - Offer Holy Bath to shiva lingam ( if made of stone or marble ) or offer flowers to lord shiva parvati photo.
