ABSTRACT

This paper addresses various issues related to design and deployment of a internet based distributed control application platform for industrial automation. The built-in Web functions enable programming and execution of remote control applications through a Web browser. New control applications can be created and existing control applications can be reconfigured and tuned on the fly. The aim of the proposed work is to present a security integrated system, based on the WAP framework for remote monitoring and control of home appliances. Its the recent trend to control the device through web at same time user can capture the remote places activities through web. A web cam is used to capture the image from different places as per the control signal given from the server. The direction of web cam is controlled by using a robotic unit that is interfaced with the system (server), located nearer to the secured area. As per the commands given from the server, the web cam will collect the images and transferred to the server through the web functions.

Suppose if we are in need to control any device, the option will be provided in the web page and we are able to control the device at the moment. Relay driver circuit does the controlling of device. A WAP gateway located nearer to the home appliances is responsible for executing the supplied control algorithm. While serving concurrent requests from other clients, user can gain access to the system through WAP enabled mobile phone. The kernel of the integrated system relies on data flow programming platform and deploys intelligent or automated visual surveillance systems.
