The solution of the above referred connection is based on the "basic component
method". This method calculates the connection final strength from the resistances
of it's "basic components".
The "basic components" for these connections are:
f j = j k j f cd
The effective area of the fountation obtained from the relation
c = t(
fy
3 f j 0
) 0.5
With the effective area and the applied forces and moment the program calculates
the length of the compression area of the connection. which is used in order to
calculate the applied compression force both on the concrete foundation and the
equivalent T stub.
The check of the anchors in tension is performed by the, known from previous,
applied tension force. Also the recuired anchorance length is being calculated using
the rules of EC2.
The strength of the footing plate in bending together with the associated anchors
in tension is obtained by using the equivalent T-stub method for both:
more details for the equivalent T-stub method can be found at the "Beam to Column"
part of this manual.

, for all qualities when the shear plane passes through the
portioned part of the anchor.
The resistance of the footing plate in bearing at each anchors position is obtained by
using the formula:
f b , Rd =
2,5 f ua t
mb
For the anchors which combine shear with tension the shear resistance is reduced
according to the following formula:
Fv ,Sd
Fv , Rd
Ft ,Sd
1.4 Ft , Rd
1.0
The resistance in shear for each anchor row is the minimum result of the above
checks and the final resistance of the connection in shear is found by adding the
resistances of all the bolt rows of the connection.
When a shear element exists all the applied shear force is considered to act on it and
all the above check for the anchors are omitted, instead of them the following checks
of the shear element performed according to the EC3:
