MARCH 5TH: LISTENING SESSIONS AND TRAINING MARCH 6TH: RALLY & LEGISLATOR RECEPTION
Action Day to End Violence Against Women is a collective effort by six statewide coalitions to raise awareness about the prevalence and devastating impact of violence against women in Minnesota. The two-day event includes listening sessions with legislators, training on each coalitions policy agenda, youth involvement events, networking opportunities, and meetings with legislators, culminating in a powerful rally at the State Capitol Rotunda at 12 noon on March 6, 2012.

THEME:
We cant afford to compromise on public safety and health: Stop violence against all women and children.
Public safety and public health are government responsibilities. Violence against women and children is a public safety and public health issue. We need to support programs working to end violence in order to protect the safety and health of our communities.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
This year there are new events as part of Action Day. Listening Sessions with legislators will be held on Monday afternoon, policy training on Monday evening, the Tuesday noon Rally will be followed by a meet and greet with legislators. We encourage people to come for all of the events but it is OK to come for just a part. Spread the word. Invite others to join us. This is our day to have a presence at the Capitol and to raise awareness on Violence Against Women.
