Students who are chosen for the Costco Pharmacy Scholar Program are required to work at a Costco Pharmacy store at least for one year and will receive $500 dollars towards their licensure exam. Pharmacy Scholarships This award is open to Ph.D. candidates for the purpose of protecting and preserving knowledge about the medicinal use of plants by providing research support in the field of ethnobotany. The candidate must also have a 2.5 GPA or higher. The award is restricted to U.S. citizens. This is a onetime award for college juniors or seniors. Pharmacy Scholarships National Research Council (Howard Hughes Medical Institute Predoctoral Fellowship in Biological Sciences) Award: $16,000 stipend + tuition at U.S. institution Description: This five-year award is open to college seniors and first-year graduate students pursuing a Ph.D or Sc.D. degree. U.S. citizens may choose any institution in the U.S. or abroad. Foreign students must choose an U.S. institution. The scholarship will be awarded based on ability, academic records, proposed study/research, previous experience, reference reports, and GRE scores. 80 scholarships are awarded annually. Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America Foundation Deadline: varies Award: varies Description: The mission of the PhRMA Foundation is to support young scientists in disciplines important to the pharmaceutical industry by awarding them competitive research fellowships and grants at a critical decision point at the outset of their careers. U.S. Pharmacopoeia (USP Fellowship Program) Award: $15,000 Description: These doctoral and postdoctoral fellowships are for students to conduct research projects at health professions schools where USP subcommittee persons are on faculty/affiliated. Applicants for Information Fellowships must have been accepted for full-time study in a doctoral program, accepted to a Fellowships Program, or have a postdoctoral research (non-faculty) appointment.
