Jesus is Master and LORD; ..."Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for s o I am.

If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet." (John 13:13-14) "Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apost le and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house. For this man was co unted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house." (Heb 3:1-3) Jesus is called; Apostle, meaning Sent One.....Jesus was sent on behalf of the W hole World, that we might know Him and the power of His Resurrection. Then said Jesus to them again, "Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, ev en so send I you." (John 20:21) Jesus was called a minster of the circumcision for the Truth of God... ..."Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers: And that the Gentiles mi ght glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, ...For this cause I will confes s to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name. And again he saith, Rejoic e, ye Gentiles, with his people. And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; an d laud him, all ye people. And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jes se, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in Him shall the Gentiles trust." (Romans 15:8-12) Jesus is called; High Priest......"For verily He took not on Him the nature of a ngels; but He took on Him the seed of Abraham. Wherefore in all things it behove d Him to be made like unto His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithfu l High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins o f the people. For in that He Himself hath suffered being tempted, He is able to succour them that are tempted." (Hebrews 2:16-18) ___________________________________________ To understand the word Apostle...we might go to Webster's dictionary to find the defination: (Webster's).....Apostle.....APOS'TLE, n. [L. apostalus; Gr. to send away, to sen t.] A person deputed to execute some important business; but appropriately, a discip le of Christ commissioned to preach the gospel. Twelve persons were selected by Christ for this purpose; and Judas, one of the number, proving an apostate, his place was supplied by Matthias. Acts 1. The title of apostle is applied to Christ himself, Heb 3. In the primitive ages of the church, other ministers were called apostles, Rom 16; as were persons sen t to carry alms from one church to another, Phil 2. This title was also given to persons who first planted the Christian faith. Thu s Dionysius of Corinth is called the apostle of France; and the Jesuit Missionar ies are called apostles.

Among the Jews, the title was given to officers who were sent into distant provi nces, as visitors or commissioners, to see the laws observed. Apostle, in the Greek liturgy, is a book contained the epistles of St. Paul, pri nted in the order in which they are to be read in churches, through the year. __________________________________________ In Hebrews 3, Jesus is called Apostle and High Priest....called "Apostle" becaus e as a man He was to execute some important business.... But Christ Jesus is more than a man...He is God incarnate...The Minister of the New Covenant. Only as a man could HE pay the price that man owed. Yet, being more than a man, He is now our ONLY HIGH PRIEST...there is None other Name by wh ich a man can be saved but that of the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit....and that Name is JESUS; Yahshua in the Hebrew tongue. Jesus is now b ecome All Powerful, Almighty, and All knowing LORD of lords and King of kings. __________________________ Does an Apostle remain an apostle after the work is finished? We understand that no man could look upon the face of God and live, we know that God the Father is Spirit, but we are taught with clear understanding that He Hi mself prepared for Himself a body....He sent Himself into His own creation to re deem His people, to defeat all the works of the enemy and He, by His own love, f reely GAVE of Himself....Known as HIGH PRIEST, on the Day of Atonement, HE made Atonement by His Own Pure Blood...the Messenger of Hope for a hopeless world. C onsidered an Apostle..a Messenger...Christ the Faithful One, Faithful to GO and to DO all the WILL of the FATHER for in HIM dwelled the fullness of the godhead completely. Him, who is buy ONCE...both Apostle and High Priest, Ambassador sent by the Fath er, High Priest; being God with us. He is the MEDIATOR, the Delegate sent to redeem the world of sin. What applies to Christ also applies to us, His Ambassadors, we are Apostles of H is. All those who are born again of His Spirit. The 12 He sent are called apostles, and He is called Apostle for the SENT Ones a re known as Apostles. Jesus has said in John 20:21 even as the Father has Sent Him, He now sends us... Jesus Christ; "The Apostle of our profession", the "High Priest" of our professi on....He Alone is called both for He Alone can be Both Apostle and High Priest. He is the WORD that we confess. God having spoken to us by His Son, sent as Apo stle and High Priest, even now speaks by His Spirit and what God has created now declares the Creator, who by His WORD, has created all things,so that we now pr oclaim Jesus IS LORD.
