Scope of the proposal

This project will provide services related to running and maintenance of the canteen which will serve 300 employees of Bharat Aluminum Company Limited at Captive power plant-1 and Power plant-1. The scope of catering services includes: a) Breakfast, Lunch, Mini-meal, dinner, Snacks, Tea/Coffee and service after office hours. b) Conference room service for meetings, get-together and parties c) Pantry services at the corporate office, Conference Room and Reception It will provide healthy and hygienic food to the employees of the company and will require the coordination of the Human Resource Department of your company. 2. On September 1st, 2005, Suresh Raheja becomes Chief Executive Officer and Vikram radhwan continues as Chairman of the Board.

Past relevant experience:

Over the course of this time, Polkas has evolved from selling penny peanuts to being a major provider of food services in corrections, vending and dining. Polkas exclusive focus is now on serving and growing our corrections business. Polkas has years of experience of serving hygienic, nutritious and quality food across diverse cultures. New Delhi Chennai Pune Hyderabad 4. Objectives or Purpose We have analysed the present situation and believe the following objectives must be achieved: Kitchen Setting Furniture Setting Staffing Training Performance Evaluation

Services: The Kitchen Setting, Furniture Setting, Staffing, Training, Performance Evaluation will involve: Kitchen Setting All utensils, Refrigerators, Microwaves Furniture Setting All tables, Chairs, dustbins and water cooler Staffing Chef/ cooks and delivery man, accountant Training training all staff members for their respective jobs Performance Evaluation evaluation of services provided by us by taking customer feedback and then striving to improve it

5. Plan & Procedure Our company will enter into a contract for a minimum of 3 years. The menu will be decided in consultation with the administration.

It will work in two shifts keeping in view the shifts of your employees Shift 1: 5: 00 am to 3: 00 pm Shift 2: 4: 00 pm to 2:00 am Only tea and snacks will be provided in the wee hours in both the shifts. The food will be prepared using the seasonal and healthy vegetables. Special food will be prepared on the corporate events and festivals in accordance with the administrations decisions. 6. Resources committed to the project 6.1 MANPOWER

The staff provided for smooth operations of catering services : 6.1.a The supervisors deployed will have thorough knowledge of catering service, maintenance of stores, kitchen and canteen related activities. He will be responsible for maintaining all the assets, materials and he would maintain the kitchen equipment in the canteen by periodically getting them serviced. He will ensure the medical checkup, uniforms, shoes and general cleanliness and hygiene of the canteen staff. He will be responsible for extending F & B services to all the activities of the centre. Contractor shall provide the Security the information regarding the contractor staff deployed in different shifts. 6.1. b. The cooks will prepare South Indian, Indian food and also the regional food. At least three cooks will be available at all times. 6.1.c. Catering services will be provided from 5: 00 am to 3: 00 pm and 4:00 pm to 2: 00 am, except on Sundays and Holidays. Exceptions can be made when there are corporate events and meetings. 6.1.d A minimum of five waiters will be deployed for pantry/corporate office. 6.1.e A minimum number of ten persons will be always available for maintaining the canteen.

6.2 Equipments & other resources The following equipments will be provided a) All crockerys including plates/bowls , cutleries, glassware etc. at his cost for VIP pantry services and for lunch/tea/snacks etc. being served in the canteen b) Utensils like plates, bowls, spoons, water glasses/tea cups for all services in the canteen for employees. c) Disposable glasses for providing tea services twice a day on all blocks d) Tea containers for serving tea in all blocks e) Paper napkins f) Good Quality Tooth picks (wooden) g) Disposable glasses for serving tea & coffee in all blocks h) Salt, pepper, sugar, pickle, separately. i) Adequate stock of high quality raw materials (brands as specified in the contract) for cooking as per your companys standards j) Adequate stock of all snack items k) Cleaning materials like brushes, dusters, & Surf l) Storage racks for soft drinks. m) Gas cylinders in adequate quantity for a gas bank of six cylinders at all times Full responsibility is taken for safety of gas cylinders from fire, safety angle and of any exigencies arising out of any unfortunate event.

We ensure that hygiene and cleanliness is maintained in the canteen.

Uniform to all staff members

New sets of uniform will be provided every 6 months. Winter clothing to be accordingly provided.

6.5 Caterer shall provide services for meeting, conferences and outside delegates visiting BALCO in the form of lunch/dinner or snacks. 6.6 All equipments like bain-marie, Fridge, deep freezer, tea/coffee dispenser, cooking equipment, burners etc. shall be brought in by Polka 6.7 We will provide canteen services for conferences, picnic, get-together etc. arranged outside office premises. 6.8 Polka shall be responsible for maintaining an adequate stock of provisions and other raw materials. materials for proper functioning of the canteen. 6.9. The Supervisors shall be responsible for attending to telephone calls for taking orders and executing the same. 6.10 Polkas staff members shall be responsible for removing used utensils, cleaning and maintaining the same in proper condition. Similarly, all canteen equipment, gadgets etc would be cleaned properly daily and kept in a ready to use condition. 6.11. We ensure best behavior of our staff immediate replacement in case of absenteeism or layoffs.

6.12.The nominal roll attendance register, leave register, holiday register and any other register required to be maintained statutorily will be taken care of. Also a complaint register under supervisors custody in the canteen will be maintained in which all the suggestions and complaints shall be recorded. We assure you that Polka adheres to the statutory regulations viz. Contract Labor (Registration & Abolition) Act of 1970. Minimum wages Act. Shops and Commercial Establishment Act. PF Act, ESI Schemes and any other regulations covering Labor contract.
