PROGRAM NOTES
The word "moloko" is the English variation of the Russian word for
, used in the Nadsat slang of Anthony Burgess' novel A Clockwork
"milk",
Orange. Specifically it refers to milk laced with amphetamines, adrenochrome or
other mind altering chemicals. As the main characters in the novel are a gang of
young criminals engaging in very deviant and brutal behavior in a dystopian society,
they enjoy the drink before engaging in their activity of choice.
