REPUBLICANS LEFT SAYING "I WOULD HAVE VOTED FOR HIM, IF I COULD"
Indiana Joins Virginia in Limiting Option of Candidates During GOP Primary Handing Election To Party Favourites
WASHINGTON, DC - This past week, GOP Primary candidate Rick Santorum informed the country that he would be seeking legal action to be included on the Indiana ballot. Santorum was left off the ballot last week by party officials in the state. Indiana now joins Virginia in having limited the voters within the state as to candidate. Next to Virginia, Indiana has the most stringent requirements for a candidate to qualify, said Cameron Sasnett, CEO and founder of Elect-Logic - a national ballot and polling firm based in Virginia. It is shocking to me that after the results and slap in the face that was felt in Virginia, the party leaders in Indiana would follow suit. Santorum is moving quickly to have the courts step in, no doubt learning from the mistakes made in front of Judge John Gibney of the Eastern District Court of Virginia, who heard arguments by the four GOP candidates, Rick Perry, Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich and Jon Huntsman, who wanted to be included in the Virginia Primary Ballot on March 6th. Judge Gibney decided that the plaintiffs did not present their case in sufficient time to ultimately halt and reverse the ballot printing and mailing process for absentee voters thereby solidifying the previously determined ballot with only Mitt Romney and Ron Paul. Elect-Logic has been working with the voters in Virginia to create a solution to this issue. We have launched a campaign called Smite the Vote, which will give Virginians the opportunity to not only cast their ballot but also let the party know who they would have voted for if candidates had been allowed on the ballot. Sasnett continues, We are more than happy to look at mounting a similar campaign in Indiana. No citizen of the United States should have their ballot cast for them, which is essentially what is happening when we are limited in our options. You can view the Smite the Vote presentation at: http://portal.sliderocket.com/ANAUZ/Smite-The-Vote
Smite the Vote is a way to re-empower the true meaning of democracy. You can follow us on Twitter @SmiteTheVote and online at www.smitethevote.org. Smite the Vote will be a way to engage nearly 750,000 voters in Virginia and give them a ballot they're party and government wouldn't.

Elect-Logic (www.electlogic.com) (@ElectLogic) continues to speak out on behalf of voters across the country. Analyzing data as it becomes available Elect-Logic works to provide solutions for politicians of both parties. With the current state of the primary election it is vital that voices like Sasnett's be heard as we move towards the 2012 Presidential Election. The organization's agenda includes a demand by state and national groups to aid in correcting inequalities in current voting and electoral ballot law. Cameron Sasnett has a well-established background in state and federal ballot policy and regulations. He currently provides election management support and advises the Virginia State Board of Elections as member of its Technology Work Group. Additionally, he has served as a board member and vice-president of national and state level nonpartisan organizations focused on finding, training and electing candidates. Sasnett is a frequent guest on Cable News and was recently featured on Public Radio as well as nationally syndicated political talk radio.
