Oakley History
From the time of its genesis in 1975, Oakley has been
obsessed with the design and manufacture of inventions
that defy convention. Fueled by a raging distaste for
mediocrity and a herce derotion to innoration. we began
by blasting the barriers of style, form and function.
Our evolution began with a motocross handgrip. Designed
with a rerolutionary new orbicular sculpt. it was the hrst to
be ergonomically molded to ht a rider`s closed hand. and
it utilized a new material called Unobtainium

to increase
grip with sweat. Advances continued. In 1980, Oakley
stormed the motocross and snow goggle industry with
an innovative lens slot design, a perfect cylindrical arc
that provided superior optical clarity with unprecedented
impact resistance.
In 1984, Oakley changed the sports performance world
