TESCO HEALTH LOTTERY

upbeat attitude was refreshing in a time of resistance from many key stakeholders. ISG delivered beyond the original remit of power and data (in 2,200 stores) by installing half of the planned terminals after the agreed installer struggled to keep the required pace - an additional request towards the end of the project. I am con dent that without ISG the Health Lottery project would not have seen successful launch within the Tesco Estate by the launch deadline.
Steve Scott, UK & Ireland Lottery Operations Manager, Tesco

From the outset of the project, ISG came recommended from several areas of the business, their capability to undertake a project of this scale and nationwide reach made them the team that won the tender. THE CHALLENGE
The major constraint of this project was to plan, analyse, manage, communicate and deliver the installation of Health Lottery terminals in 2,200 Tesco stores across the UK, within only six weeks. Each store required numerous and site speci c Health and Safety checks to be completed in advance of on-site works, including site access, noise, asbestos surveys and the provision of the resulting Adequacy Letters. All installations works were conducted overnight to minimise the impact to customer shopping. This therefore required the careful management of on-site Tesco sta for sites that were not 24 hours. In addition to the data and power works, ISG technology was also latterly requested to deploy 1,100 terminals and scanners in the stores when the original supplier of these units became unable to ful l the customers requirements within the tight timescales.

As the Main Contractor, ISG technology was responsible for the successful completion of all project activities, these elements included: Project Management Communication with every store to con rm engineer attendance and to ensure Tesco sta were informed and prepared for the installation Health and Safety assessment and co-ordination Installation of additional power and data outlets Installation of Health Lottery terminals Real-time status reporting to Tesco excellent levels of customer satisfaction, so at the end of each installation, the store manager was asked to complete a short feedback questionnaire. As a result of the skills of ISG technology, there were no instances of customer dissatisfaction in any of the 2,200 installations. The project was successfully completed on time and within budget. Tesco customers are now able to buy Health Lottery tickets from convenient and user-friendly terminals.

ISG technology also provided bespoke real-time and daily reporting for the customer, listing the status following each installation and providing relevant technical information to Tesco - a completely visible service to the customer.
