Statement of Purpose

From my early childhood till today, my most remarkable characteristics have been my curiosity to learn new topics. My keen interest for learning new ideas, when combined with my inner desire to reach a degree of excellence in every piece of work I perform, enabled me to acquire significant knowledge on various aspects of nature and technology, as well as leading me through a successful educational career. During my early ages in school, I was introduced to 'BASIC' language and on how computers can be used and programmed. From then, I became fascinated about computers and their programming. After I entered the High School, I was made known with languages like 'C' and 'HTML' on my personal interest. The first year lectures of my undergraduate were about freshman courses which I was already familiar with, however, in consequent years, the versatility and facile nature of Information Technology made it even more interesting and really left me spellbound and enthralled. This solidified my interest in IT and Web services and exposed me to the enormous potential of this developing field. As the depth of studying about IT increased, it helps me to widen my background in various concepts. I also paid special attention to vital subjects I would deal with in my professional life. Besides theoretical work, I gained practical knowledge through internships and various project works. My first hands-on experience was in Tech Mahindra Ltd , which is now an IT giant after undertaking Satyam Ltd. I also created a website for an NGO- Bhumi, which is the one of the active NGOs in India. I even had my own website mobile-adda.com, which is a student startup running successfully. These experiences were invaluable for me since I learned the serviceability and functionality of various real world applications. There I grasped the application of Information Technology in various sections. Working in such an outstanding places broadened my vision of Information Technology and how diverse its developmental stages be. Aside from the academic life, I am one of the active core members of the cultural & technical fest of my college. These social activities have improved my interpersonal skills and enabled me to appreciate the value of how precious it is to participate in an activity whose members come from different backgrounds & different locations.

My ultimate goal in my career is to make a commendable contribution to the IT world either by starting an innovative venture or doing research which would change the dimensions of future computing and the way we perceive the Information Technology. Now I have determined that a dedicated study on Information Technology will enable me to aggregate all my previous knowledge & experience on the field and encourage in achieving my career goal. I am confident that my academic records and practical knowledge combined with my eagerness to do research exhibit the perseverance and zeal required to do my Final Year Project in your reputed university. My hunger for International exposure forces me to do my research work abroad, and doing my research work in your reputed University is like a dream come true. I have many ambitions for myself as I embark on this stage of my life. I believe that Semester Abroad Programme will provide milestone in my career along with invaluable experiences and skills that will allow me to become a successful, innovative professional and gives assistance to accomplish my goals.

ngoFuel.org Internship July 2010 - Dec 2010 Worked as a Technical team member in the start-up. Created websites for nonprofit organisations (NGOs) for free of cost.

Successfully created the 1st project of ngoFuel.org, which was of NGO- Bhumi , www.bhumi.org.in Languages Used Joomla, Adobe Photoshop.

Mobile-Adda.com Industrial Experience Student Startup Involved in a two member team for the development of a website based project MobileAdda.com for giving the latest mobile network plans to the users, including top-ups, schemes, add-ons and mobile prices also.
