3 February 2012 | Filed under: News | Posted by: Simon Harding -- Download Valentine Ideas as PDF -OK, youve hopefully known Theatre Breaks for some time now. We have a chat about theatres and hotels, restaurants and attractions: we discuss what your other half may or may not like to see, whether you are really likely to need a swimming pool at the hotel (however good your intentions), what you are likely to want to eat just before the show and whether it is worthwhile dashing out to the nearest pub instead of paying theatre prices but I am not too sure whether our relationship stands up to discussing Valentine Ideas. What I do know is that Mrs H always likes to look good however informal the occasion, and I am guessing that all Mrs, Mss and Misses As, Bs, Cs all feel the same especially on a romantic occasion such as Valentines Day. In fact here at Theatre Breaks we have found that a theatre break is usually a romantic occasion whatever the date (and I would suggest that the gentlemen out there try and remember that!)
So no cheap tricks, Im just going to give you the link (Here it is: CLICK HERE) to what I am sure you will find is a super website, with the a wide range Valentines ideas, all perfect for you know what! PLUS Agent Provocateur are offering free worldwide express delivery until 5th February, just use code ED12 at the checkout. So back to the point! Whatever you are doing with your Valentine this year, whether it is a short break to London or maybe a bit of ooh-la-la with a or even if you are just cuddling up on the sofa at home watching the Champions League, Theatre Breaks have teamed up with Agent Provocateur who have a saucy new collection that will make perfect gifts this Valentines Day. Now I hesitate to go into any detail at this point. I feel happy to sit here and discuss anything theatrical, but it feels a bit weird talking about well, you know even if it is Valentines Ideas for Valentines Day! Anyway APs saucy new collection includes a range of items made out of silk and lace etc. AP even gave us a few images to demonstrate their products, but they all seemed to feature scantily clad young ladies and Im not sure how you would react stumbling across a theatre breaks blog full of such images however fine the stitching! Oddly enough, they didnt send any images featuring their fine range of bath towels: I guess the underlining message is that if you go to Agent Provocateur for your Valentine present, dont bring back towels! BTW if you are desperate to avoid Valentines Day head over to Hush on Brook Street for their Single and Fabulous event.
the touristy things that you have been promising yourself that one day you will do. Well now is a great time to be thinking about heading to London for a short break or theatre break. There are some great shows and some great deals and, as London gears itself up for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games this summer, it really is an exciting place to be. Highlights for short breaks in London include the London 2012 Festival, the World Shakespeare Festival featuring all 37 of the bards plays in 37 languages, the Queens Diamond Jubilee and the bicentennial of Charles Dickens. Also, in the art world exhibitions of Picasso, Andy Warhol, Damien Hirst, Yoko Ono, Lucian Freud, and David Hockney not to mention ahuge Bauhaus retrospective. Whilst back on the stage we have to name a few Cate Blanchett, Juliette Binoche, a new Damon Albarn Opera, Top Hat, Singin in the Rain and the RSCs brilliant Matilda.
