    The Leopold maneuver is a systematic technique used to determine the position, presentation, lie, and engagement of the fetus in the third trimester of pregnancy. It involves four palpation steps: 1. Palpating the fundus to feel if the fetus is breech or cephalic presentation. 2. Palpating the sides of the fundus to locate the fetal back and determine if the lie is transverse. 3. Palpating below the pubic bone to feel if the presenting part is engaged in the pelvis. 4. Palpating the abdomen to determine the attitude or degree of flexion of the fetus.
