Letter of Recommendation for Randhir Kumar I take great pleasure introducing Mr.

Randhir Kumar who was my student for the course on Intellectual Property Rights in his pre final year during his B.Tech (IT). I met Randhir Kumar for the 1st time when I was a sitting member of the assessment panel for Computer Network Authentication Protocol Projects in May 2005. The kind of knowledge he acquired just because of likings of the subject, one can always expect him in the group. He was there to demonstrate his 5th semester project work on Protocol for Network Authentication. His presentation clearly showed efforts he made to study relevant literature in the area of his interest that time, and amount of hard work he put in to develop the project. Later Randhir Kumar elected my course on Intellectual Property Rights in fall 2005. It was my pleasure to have Mr. Kumar as one of the students in that class. He has a natural ability to grasp the most complex details, and conversely, to express his own thoughts in a very clear and simple manner. His intelligent remarks in the class, attentiveness, prior knowledge of the subject and prompt for interaction distinguished him from other students. This course was not easy to comprehend. Most of the students in the class found it difficult to understand the important aspects of Intellectual Property Rights. He benefited from this course by enhancing his prior knowledge on the subject. Apart from the curriculum of the course, I gauged Mr. Kumar has a very strong mathematical aptitude with an attitude to work very hard in the area of his interest which makes him suitable for higher education in the area of management. I have no doubt that his wish to continue his further studies in field of management will be better move for his career advancement keeping in view his knowledge of new technologies of IT, equipped with his strong mathematical aptitude and passion to drive and excel in the areas which attracts him. I strongly deny judging Mr. Kumar just on the basis of his grades what he scored in his UG studies at IIIT, Allahabad. He is self-motivated person with lots of patience and perseverance which enables to emerge him as a winner. Academically, I rate him above average among all his counterparts but I am of the view that given an opportunity Mr. Randhir Kumar will prove to be a worthy student at your institution. I strongly recommend Mr. Randhir Kumar for admission to the graduate program at your esteemed university with full financial assistance that he rightly deserves. I wish him all the success in his future endeavors. R. C. Tripathi Professor IIIT, Allahabad, India rctripathi@iiita.ac.in
