Project Abstract
This project developed for a retail grocery industry. It is providing services for Fast Moving Consumer Group (FMCG) to track the sales of different consumer products by Time, region, department, stores and etc. Maintaining the information to improve the marketing and sales and to get the knowledge of the new business opportunities. The main aim of this project is to design a Data mart to store the company s past sales data which can be analyzed to improve the sales by identifying key factors like the total sales revenue in the Week, Month, Quarter and year. Roles and Responsibilities y y y y y Understanding the business rules completely and implements the data transformation methodology. Involved in the Analysis of the specifications provided by the client s i.e. mapping doc and functional specifications Data received from Oracle transactional systems and Flat Files then converted to Oracle database using Data stage Client tools. Worked on Data Stage Designer for Extracting Source Transactional Database, transform and then load it into Target Database. Developing Jobs for inbound interfaces using different stages like Oracle enterprise stage, sequential file stage, dataset, transformer, join, lookup, filter, sort, remove duplicates, copy, funnel and aggregator. CUB Foods Inc is the largest confectionery, food, and Beverage Corporation, The current project deals with CUB employee s identity data and it takes all the Employees identity data from sql server data and performs the Extraction Transformation as per the business requirements by using ETL tool (Data stage) and the cleaned and fully transformed data loads into the data stage Production sever in the form of flat files. From there the same files will be Ftp Ed to the consumer server. From the consumer sever take the necessary data and generate the reports (Using Cognos) to analyze the employee identity data

Federal Insurance Company is one of the insurance company which give insurances to both commercial and consumer customers. They do store data for different insurances, reinsurances and claims in different databases using One claim and AEGS applications. Now the company wants to leverage their resources by bringing all sources into one SAS umbrella. The present project has to integrate the data from IAC system to SAS system. Source is Oracle target is fixed with flat files. Roles and Responsibilities y y Understanding business requirements with the help of Functional spec and mapping sheets. Developed and supported the extraction, transformation and load process (ETL) for integration of data. Developed several parallel jobs using various stages like Sequence file stage, Datasets , Aggregator, Copy, Remove duplicates, Funnel, Lookup, Filter, Join, Sort, Transformer , Oracle enterprise .
