Marketing at the retail and consumer level for each seasons featured titles is essential for success. The following will be executed each season:
Catalog advertisements MaxLucado.com online promotion Daily UpWords radio segments will feature themes and content from featured titles HTML email blasts, highlighting each seasons featured products 30 short excerpts for featured titles used for twittering by Thomas Nelson and the Lucado Team and available for use by retailers Excerpts from each book uploaded to document sharing sites and provided for use on retailer websites Excerpts from each seasons list uploaded into one digital sampler for email and website distribution Online advertisements will be placed and outlets chosen will be based on the seasons theme and title selection Each seasons books will be provided to radio stataions in the top 20 markets for on-air giveaways A book club on select titles will be set up exclusively for MaxLucado.com and the Max Lucado online community members and will include extended excerpts, video from Max, a four-week online book study, special purchase offers, and a Tell a Friend e-card allowing fans to pass along information/coupons on featured titles Video and text-based Q&A interviews from Max on the featured titles will be provided to national media

Participating in the above program earns the retailer the added benefit of becoming a Lucado Preferred retailer. This includes:
A 30-minute scheduled group conference phone call with Max three times a year Incentivized terms on all featured titles Featured positioning on the Lucado community website Dedicated sales associate training materials Lucado Preferred Retailer logo via window cling, in-store merch, and web tools for retailer websites Online and social media marketing initiative targeted to Lucado Preferred Retailers Exclusive autographed copies of books for sales promotion for top-performing preferred retailers Additional advance reader copies for sales staff
In order to become a Lucado Preferred retailer, outlets must confirm an ongoing commitment to the Lucado Impact Plan. should a retailer not follow through on the above commitments, it will be removed from the program. any removed retailer can rejoin the program by re-confirming its commitment.
