FAMILY NURSING PROBLEM

GOAL OF CARE After 1 hour of nursing intervention the mother will be able to discuss and demonstrate skills on breastfeeding .

IMPLEMENTATION PLAN INTERVENTION METHOD Home Asses mothers visit knowledge and experience with breastfeeding Identify cultural beliefs or practices regarding lactation, let-down techniques, maternal food preferences Note incorrect myths/misundersta ndings especially in teenage mothers Monitor current effectiveness of current breastfeeding efforts Determine support systems available to mother/family. Demonstrate how to support and position infant such as: Football hold Lying down Cradling Across the lap Keep infant with mother for unrestricted breastfeeding duration and frequency. Encourage mother to drink at least 2000ml of liquid per day Provide information as needed about early infant feeding cues such as:
