Leroy Forlines Lectures


February 21-22
Dr. Eddie Moody will deliver a series of guest lectures during the 2012 Leroy Forlines Lectures. He will speak twice daily February 21-22, 10:00 a.m. until noon, on the subject, Living with Character in a Corrupt Culture. In addition, Dr. Moody will present a Peer-Mentoring Seminar training session Monday the 20th and Tuesday the 21st (3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.) in Dining Hall-B for present peer mentors, resident assistants, and other personnel in Student Services. For those interested in serving as a peer mentor next year: There is a sign-up sheet available after chapel (see Dr. Forlines). Choose a Monday or Tuesday, and initial the column by your name. If you prefer, you may email Mrs. Forlines at susan@fwbbc.edu.

A Wow Night
The 5th annual FWBBC Film Festival took place Thursday, February 2, in Memorial Auditorium. Frank
Thornsbury hosted the evening. Thirteen videos, three commercials, and one movie trailer were submitted for judging. In the Youth Group division, the Judges Pick awards went to the Lighthouse Film Club for The Willow Trees and the Cross Timbers Youth (CTY) for See. In the College Family division, the Judges Pick award went to Lundy/Forlines for Kissing Machine. In the Alumni Division, the Judges Pick award went to Inman & Saunders for Paranoid. In the overall category, the award for Best In Technical Merit went to Albright & Albright for A Small Love Story, the award for Best In Performance went to Lundy/Forlines for Kissing Machine, and the award for Best Picture went to Inman & Saunders for Paranoid.
