Setting the stage:

I am going to develop the gas refilling module and I found it quite interesting and familiar because we use this service in our homes also so working on it can be taken as easy because we have little knowledge about how it really operates. But I need to develop the whole module and need to provide it some standard for this I worked on it. For increasing the knowledge on this project I visited a GAS AGENCY. I saw the employee working there software and tried to understand them.

Develop the whole software for SONDHI gas agency.

Interviewing P eoples:
For better understanding the problem it would be better thing to become a part of environment where the problem exists. So I asked few question to the Senior Manager of the Agency ( Mr. Promod Sharma ) and they were : Question 1 :

Would you tell me what happens here in a typical day?

Ans: He told,the current software is totally designed according to the need of our day to day operations like: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Gas Booking New Connection Cancellation Transfer of Connection Stock maintenance

He added also this software makes thing easier to them and save their lot of time. They can easily do their work by using it. Question 2:

How do you feel about the situation?

Ans: He said, every day they have to deal with a lots of customers with different problems and they must be solved at any cost. So demand such a software what can really help them . Abhishek Singh

Question 3:

What is your impression of the software?

Ans: he said, their agency got a user friendly and fast processing software. They dont need to worry about the logical stuff they can easily deal with the work efficiently. It is obvious that if a huge company is making a software than they will take care about such things also.

Tasks Definition:
The whole situation is understood and problem is defined. In the development phase I will perform the following tasks.
1.

Define the boundaries and scope: the boundaries of

the software must be defined otherwise the requirements will not end and at the end the customer will not be satisfied with the software because the technology changes so fast so we need some specification on it. In this project I will only design a module for the GAS BOOKING this will going to be my boundary.

Divide and conquer: The problem is divided into the modules to

that it will be easier to manage the problem and without any inconsistency I will get the better result at the end of development. I divided it in the following manner : a. Analysis of existing software b. Create a UI(user interface) c. Coding d. Database Connectivity e. Security f. Testing g. Release

Existing System: The existing software on which SODHI GAS AGENCY is currently working, I got some snap shots. These will be helpful for better understanding and creating the software.

Prototype: till today I have developed some of interface and gone through with some of SQL CONNECTIVITY. I am using the ITERATIVE/INCREMENTAL MODEL.

The software being used for the development of this project is: OPERATING SYSTEM ENVIORNMENT .NET FRAMEWORK LANGUAGE BACKEND

HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS:

The hardware used for the development of the project is: PROCESSOR : INTEL COREI3 RAM : 3GB HARD DISK : 350GB KEYBOARD : 102KEYS

Operations:
I will use INCREMENT PROTOTYPE MODEL. Every time a new and more functional model will be produced by changing in the current model so that in very short amount of time I will get a good project. SQL SERVER 2010 is used for the data storage so among tables referencing is done for creating relations between the tables.

Summary:
This project comprises all the operations for booking gas. This project deals with vast amount of data. A huge and satisfactory work will be done for the completion.
