REQUIREMENTS
In this project, you are required to carry out the measurements and required adjustments of a given circuit a basic Waveform Generator. In order to carry out the required tasks, you may need to refer to the following documentations: Circuit Schematic Diagram PCB Layout Diagram Component List

Unless otherwise stated, all waveforms and voltages are measured with reference to ground (0V). All waveforms recorded must include its amplitude and time scales.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The board consists of several basic circuits which connected together produces PWM waveforms. The test pins TP11 and TP12 show the PWM outputs. P3 header output provides the product of the two waveforms.

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The overall circuit diagram in shown Figure 1. The DC Power supply can be varied up to 60V by adjusting the VR1. The waveform generated by the sine wave generator is inverted by the IC U7A and appears at the output OUT1/1 (TP8). The frequency of the waveform can be adjusted by changing the variable resistor, VR4. The variable resistor, VR5, is used to vary its amplitude and VR6 for adjusting the offset level. The frequency and the amplitude of the square wave output at TP2 can be varied by adjusting VR3 and VR4 respectively. The frequency and the amplitude of the triangle waveform can be varied by adjusting VR7 and VR9 respectively. 5.0 INSTRUCTIONS TO THE COMPETITOR Carry out the required adjustments and measurements. All measurements and results SHOULD be measured using the oscilloscope. The results must be saved in the mass storage media provided. All files should be saved inside a desktop folder named PKM_MEASUREMENT. 5.1 Check and connect the +12V DC power supply to the circuit. 5.2 Adjust VR1 so that the DC voltage output at TP1 = +30V. Measure and save the waveform under a filename Q5_2. 5.3 Adjust VR2 so that the DC voltage output at pin 3 of the P2 header = -12V. Measure and save the waveform under a filename Q5_3.

5.4 Adjust VR3 and VR4 to ensure a square wave at TP2, having the following properties: Frequency = 100Hz Ttotal = t1 + t2 t1 = 60% of Ttotal t2 = 40% of Ttotal Measure and save the waveform under a filename Q5_4. 5.5 Adjust the variable resistors VR3, VR4, VR5 and VR6 to get a smooth sine wave of 100Hz and 5Vp-p. Measure and save the waveform at TP4 under a filename Q5_5. 5.6 Adjust the VR7 and VR8 so that the waveform at TP5 is 1 KHz and having 50% duty cycle (duration t1 = t2). Measure and save the waveform at TP5 under a filename Q5_6. 5.7 Adjust VR9 to get 1 kHz, 6Vp-p waveform at TP7. Measure and save the waveform under a filename Q5_7.
5.8 Measure the output waveform at test point TP8. Save the waveform under a filename Q5_8. 5.9 Measure the output waveforms at test point TP9 (channel 1) and test point TP10 (channel-2). Save the waveform under a filename Q5_9. 5.10 Measure the output waveforms at TP11 (channel 1) and TP12 (channel-2 ). Save the waveform under a filename Q5_10. 5.11 Observe the output waveform at pin 1 of the header P3, by using pin 2 as the reference point. Save the waveform under a filename Q5_11. P3
