Directions to the Camp


From Naha, getting to the camp using Route 58 takes about 2 1/2 hours. Using the toll road and getting off at the Kyoda exit, it takes about 70 minutes. Once you arrive in central Nago, turn left on Route 84. You will go past the Pineapple Park and Meio University on your right. Turn right on Route 72 and keep on going straight. You will pass through two tunnels. When you get to the intersection of Route 72 and Route 505, you will turn left (the post ofce is on the corner) and go straight. You will pass the Ostrich Park and several convenience stores on your left and the place where watermelons are sold on your right. Keep going until you see the sign for Hokuzanso Baptist Camp on your right. Turn right there and go straight until you get to a T. Turn left and go straight. You will see the camp fence on your right. You will see the main entrance there.

In the midst of the natural quiet beauty of Gods creation, Hokuzanso is a wonderful place to have your church and family camps, workshops and seminars. MENSORE!

Camp Facilities
Useful Information Bedding: In all the buildings, there are thin mats for sleeping, but there are no beds or bedding. It is recommended you bring your own bedding. Kitchen: There are facilities in each building for cooking. Each one has a refrigerator, cooking utensils and pots and pans and dishes. Outside Cooking: Outside the main building there is a large barbeque grill. Campre: Wood for a campre can be provided if a request is made in advance, but each group must contact the Nakijin re department for permission in Japanese. Sports: The camp has areas suitable for volleyball, basketball, soccer and other sports and activities. Outings: The camp can also be used for one day outings from 9am-5pm. Outside showers and public toilets are available for use. A Y500 fee will be charged per person. Washing: Coin washer and dryer are available on-site. Unless your group has enough registered guests to reserve the entire camp, there may be other groups there at the same time. If your group has less than 15 people, we ask that you use the bungalows instead of the main building for your stay. Please be careful with all camp property. If any camp property is broken or destroyed, you or your group are responsible for the cost or replacement of that item. Garbage should be thrown away according to camp regulations. These regulations are included on the Registration Form and in each cabin. There shall be no smoking or drinking alcohol at any time on camp grounds or beach area. Hokuzanso is open year-round for camping. Reservations can be made up to 6 months in advance. 3.

How to make a reservation: If you wish to use the camp, you need to make a reservation by lling out the registration form which can be picked up at the Okinawa Baptist Convention Ofce in Urasoe.
