What is attitude?
Introduction:

Everybody knows the U.S.A. country, and the presidents of U.S.A. like BARAK OBAMA, WILLIAM RANGAN, J.W.BUSH but the one person who was not only president of U.S but the role model of the most of AMERICAN and as well as other countries people. Yes, today the matter of SIR. ABRAHAM LINCOLN. What makes him not only president but also role model of people and the famous in the all over world? The thinking pattern and ATTITUTE makes him the most famous personality n the top rated person. Though the SIR LINCOLN loss the senate election 10 times he doesnt loss the confidence and this was his attitude that gave him the place of great president in the 11 times.

And as per government law, he was remain 5 year as president and after his dead he was remain in the top 10 list of famous personality of U.S.A What is the reason behind his ever-green success? ATTITUDE. The main source of his success was

Meaning:
Attitude are another type of individual difference that affects the behaviour of a person. In a simple way, Attitude can be referred to as evaluative statements which may either be favourable or unfavourable regarding people, objects or events. According to Even Allport, An Attitude is mental state of readiness, learned and organized through experience, exerting a specific influence on persons response to people, object and situations with which it is related.
In other words, By attitude we mean the beliefs, feelings, and action tendencies of an

individual or group of individuals towards objects, ideas, and people. Ouite often persons and objects or ideas become associated in the minds of individuals and as a result of attitudes become multi-dimensional and complex. Attitudes generally express positively and negatively. E.g., When I have good feelings towards my work or co-worker, my attitude is positive. When I feel reluctant to do certain things that are necessary, or show hostility towards certain individuals, then my attitude is negative.

Example of Attitude: Positive thinking is so important as it will affects all aspects of our life. What I am going to share with you will be 1 story example of why having a positive attitude is so beneficial to us. Thomas Edison, the greatest inventor of all time failed around 10,000 times in his quest to invent a light bulb. He persisted till he found the solution. You will be surprised to know that this great inventor only has 3 months of formal schooling in his entire life. The another surprise thing is that he was a partially deaf 4 year old boy who returned one day from school with a note from his teacher. The note read, "Your Tommy is too stupid to learn, take him out from school". His mother taught him at home since then. So what is the thing that we can learn from this story? Personally I feel that the success story of every great man is full of disappointments, failures, setbacks, and betrayal. They face them with a smile as a great warrior success eventually comes to them. No struggle, no success. What is the thing that keeps him going and never gives up, it is his positive attitude.

Thomas Edison, c. 1918-1919 The society is created in such a way that it is only when we make mistake then we will be able to learn something new. In order to reach our goal, we must first be able to overcome all the problem and the obstacles that come along our way. When you have a positive attitude, you will see every problem as a great opportunity to go forward. It is not easy in real life when we are being constantly bombarded by all the negative influence from our environment. That is when we have to make an effort to have a positive attitude and maintain it.

As the above figure, Forms of attitude is divide in many different parts. In every parts the attitude of persons is changed and that affects in groups of friend, in any field or it can affect in organizations. These forms of attitude is explain as follows:

1. ENVIRONMENT:
Environment means surrounding around the nature. This environment consist of following ways:Chart:-

a) Home:
Home means where a person can live. At home the persons will live with his family and for that how the environment of home that come in a persons or children. It can divide in to ways Positive attitude and Negative attitude.

In home, if the environment of house is Positive means his family always pray to god, always talk with respect, always speaks truth, etc., then the child grow up with positive attitude. In home, if the environment of house is Negative means his family always forgot to pray god, always fight with each other or with neighbor, always tell lie, always use bad word when they talk with other, etc., then the child grow up with negative attitude.

a) School:

EX. The student can be achieve the attitude like the friends in the school and the students also get attitude from the teachers and the behavior of the teacher is also play important role on attitude formation of the child at the school level.
b) Workplace:

The work place also important to attitude formation. The person sees the qualities of the

Different person and gets some good quality from them. Ex. The person get the good attitude from the seniors and juniors. The VIJAY MALLYA works in his fathers company at monthly salary of 400 rs. He got hard working attitude from the seniors.

c) Media:

The news channels, news papers, T.V, RADIO etc are the way of the media. EX. Some persons like to see the Fighting and beating channels on the T.V and their attitude become like fighting people.
d) Cultural Background:

EX. The Indian culture is deferent from the Mexican culture then the attitude towards foods. so, the attitude of the Indian people towards the food is different from the Mexican.
e) Religious Background:

EX. The religious background also play a high role like the person get good qualities f the leaders of the religious and also test himself compare with them and also try to change to change attitude. EX. The KING MARTIN was impressing by the good qualities and attitude of the gessoes. f) Social Environment The people live around the person and the nature of the societys people much effect on the attitude formation of the person.
g) Political Environment:

EX. The INDIRA GANDHI. the INDIRA GANDHI made her great attitude to serve India and loss her life after the county by the JAVAHAR LAL NEHRU and the RAJIV GANDHI and SONIYA GANDHI also got the political attitude from the INDIRA GANDHI.

2. EXPERIENCE:
People who try new things, push the envelope, pitch ideas, offer innovative problem solving, take accountability, and never stop learning and making a difference, are people gaining experience and building their work future. Experience, used in the past tense, refers to the accumulated product (or residue) of past experiences e.g., after many hours of training and practice building furniture out of wood, we now consider him to be an experienced wood craftsman. Any persons behavior changed according to its experiences with any peoples and any events in its life. This experience is changed in positive or negative way. If the person experience is positive to any events or persons then it becomes positive attitude. EX. If he one person got loss in the particular business then his attitude towards that business will negative and he will not give positive motivation to others.

3. EDUCATION:
Attitude in Education: We are a training and development company that services both the corporate and education leaders and educators worldwide to develop their way of thinking (attitudes), actions (professional behaviors), knowledge and skills. We work with our clients in a way that supports self directed learning.

Education can really change the behavior of individual. In fact it is one of the function of education to shape and guide the behaviors of children as they go to school. DEFINITION: Percentage of school going children who do not like going to school (2000). This experience is shows that it s negative attitude towards school. EX. Some educated believes that they are only makes friendship and relation who are ducats and they are not ready to even talk with the uneducated person

4. FAMILY:
The attitude formation is basically divided in the two type.

a) Nuclear Family:

In the nuclear family the child or person get attitude like his father or mother because the family is small. b) Joint Family: The joint family where the parents as well as grandfather grandmother and all other relatives are live with the child. So, it may be possible that the attitude of that person effect whom with the person or the child live more. EX. If the child live with the grandmother more then the attitude formation of the child will more effected by the grandmother. It I not always true that the familys parents same behavior works in the child the OSAMA BIN LADEN is the terrorist but his daughter is the famous writer.

5. ECONOMIC STATUS AND OCCUPATIONS:

An economic and occupational position also contributes to attitude formation. They determine, in part, our attitude towards union and management and our believes that certain loss are good or bad. A socio economic background influences our present and future attitude. EX. The rich person believes that they are only talk and meet people who are equal to the status of his or her. It mean they only ready to talk whose status match with their economical status.

6. PEERS GROUPS (COLLEAGUES):

Our opinion and attitude towards educaton, political parties, , etc. are implemented with the peer groups. The peer group is the group with them we are doing work in the organization. EX. In our group or our peers are punctual and hard working in our group then gradually our attitude also molded with the attitude like them and w will be a punctual if we not.

7. NEIGHBOURHOOD The neighbors we live in has certain structure in terms of its having culture facilities religious group and possible ethnic difference. Further, it has people who are neighbor. The neighbor adults and childrences they all have certain behavior and all these have own attitude and it effect on us. Ex. If the neighbour is good natured then we can see positive attitude in him.
