And her nails polished a silver-black. Aria sticks her nose into the grass--taking a deep sniff, she claws her ripped blue jeans, and pokes at her gray ROSEWOOD MIDDLE SCHOOL, t-shirt. ARIA Ah! Nothing like the smell of Rosewoods grass. Aria pokes her nose into the fresh, wet grass. EMILY [V.O.] Are... You sniffing the grass? Aria turns to watch her friend, EMILY FIELD, exit her mothers gray SUV. Aria nods then turns back to the grass-taking another sniff. Emily gives off a cute, shy vibe. She has red-brown-ish chlorine damaged hair, shes wearing a: ROSEWOOD SHARKS! t-shirt, and cute little short-shorts, with flip-flops, that is drenched wet. Emilys mother SUV, drives away. ARIA Yup. It smells good. EMILY I see... Emily shakes her head and looks around. EMILY [CONTD] Wheres Spencer? Aria shrugs. ARIA I dunno. SPENCER [V.O.] Try, right here. The two girls turn-to face SPENCER HASTINGS, same age, blond hair, oozes smartness. Spencer has long dirty-blond hair thats tied up into a ponytail. Black glasses that are sticking to the end of her nose, laced-up boots, with a short skirt-jean, which doesnt match her short plaid shirt.

ARIA Hey, Spencer! EMILY Spence. SPENCER Guys. HANNA [V.O.] HEY! HEY GUYS! HANNA MARIN, enters, a cute, sweet girl. Same age as the rest of the girls, Hanna has long blond hair, tied into a bun, Hanna is an overweight, sad girl. Shes not overweight for the reason you think-its all because of her father and mothers divorce, she was desperate and couldnt stop eating after that. Hanna is wearing an over-sized: I LOVE ROSEWOOD!, that really shows off her stomach, even, a bit too much. Shes wearing black leggings, that she keeps tugging on. Maybe because its pulling up her underwear. SPENCER Hey Hanna! ARIA Hey Hanna! So guys, guess what. The girls turn to Aria, awaiting for more. ARIA [CONTD] So, Noel KahnHANNA NOEL KAHN?! GO ON! Hanna perks up, Aria chuckles. ARIA Yeah, him. Anyway, at lunch, he walks up to me and is like "hey you dropped your apple." and I was like "I didnt get an apple." and hes like "well now you do have an apple." and winked, and left. SPENCER Maybe, its because you start blubbering "oh. my. god. oh, oh, its you, oh my god. I --" Hanna blushes, as if she clearly doesnt remember doing this. EMILY Hey Alison! ALISON DILAURENTIS, walks up to them, Alison oozes star qaulity, shes very sexy, and popular, shes beautiful, and its hard to believe, that shes friends with these four girls. Alison has dirty-blond hair, perfect light-sky-blue eyes, shes wearing a over-sized Hockey t-shirt that says: GO SHARKS! that covers half of her leggings, she holds a glass of beer in her hand. Alison gives a devious smile. ALISON Oh-kay! Spencer walks up to the barn doors, and KICKS it open. INT. BARN Its a huge barn, on the ground floor is a couch, a coffee table, a TV, and a small kitchen. The only odd and unexpeted thing isA couple making out on the couch, they pull away due to the doors opening. MELISSA HASTINGS, who looks like Spencer but way more superior and hotter, AND way, way more smarter. Pulls away from another person-a guy, Melissa is on her last year of high school, ready to start college, she has light-blond hair, with a mix of tiny brown. The man shes making out with is the same age as Melissa, IAN THOMAS, hand-some, very smart as well. MELISSA WHAT THE F--?! Melissa notices the rest of the girls behind Spencer, watching. MELISSA [CONTD] Oh, hey guys. Melissa stands, dragging Ian behind her. IAN Hey Spencer. Spencer awkwardly looks at Melissa to Ian. SPENCER Hey... I-uh, didnt know you were here. ALISON Melissa, you and Ian make the kuh-yoo-test couple. Ive never told you, but Ive always thought it. Dont you agree, Spence? Spencer blinks. SPENCER Um... Melissa stares at Ali for a second, perplexed. Then she turns to Ian. MELISSA Can I talk to you outside? Ian picks up his Corona from the coffee table, that belonged to the Hastings super-secret liquor cabinets. He set the empty bottle down and gave the girls a parting grin. Melissa leans Ian to the doors of the barn. As she and Ian exit, Ian turns around. IAN Adieu, ladies. He winks, and closes the barn door. Alison dustes her hand together. ALISON Another problem solved by Ali D. Are you going to thank me now, Spence? Spencer didnt answer, Alison. Instead, Spencer just looked outside and watched the lightening bugs-light slowly chrip on and off, as the purple-ish sky, slowly turns dark. CUT TO: LATER. The girls are sitting around on the floor, Alison sits on the couch, Emily stands and plops herself on the couch. Her eyes fixed on a movie. Hanna turns off the TV with the remote. ARIA Hey... We were watching that--

HANNA Its scary, can we do something else... Please? Alison sighs. ALISON Fine, lets talk bout guys. Hanna chrips and jumps up. HANNA IAN, he is so hot, even hotter than SEAN ACKARD. The girls groan. ARIA 24/7, its Sean Ackard, talk. Hanna rolls her eyes at Arias joke, and playfully nudges her shoulder. ALISON You want to know what I heard? HANNA WHAT?! ALISON Sean, really-likes girls who have good appetites. Hanna brightens up. HANNA REALLY?! Alison snorts. ALISON NO! Hanna goes to grab a handfull of popcorn, picking them up, but after Alisons comment she drops them into the bowl. ALISON [CONTD] Im bored, lets do something thats actually is fun. Emily eyes widen-as if a lightbulb went off in her head.

EMILY We can go streaking, in the lake, again! Emily smiles proud of herself. ALISON Uh, you liked that a little too much. Emilys smile fades, quickly. ALISON [CONTD] Lets prank call Doofus-the-loser. The girls nod and mutter in agreement. EMILY I dunno. She seems sweet-ALISON Uh. So, anyone got her number? Alison picks up the barn phone, ready to dial away. SPENCER Uh, we were sciene partners this year. So I probably have it stashed in my drawer. ALISON Then go get it. Spencer stands and rushes off. ARIA And... Now we play the waiting game. HANNA I feel like getting a hotdog. Hanna walks off into the kitchen, she searches around, and doesnt find anything but some more snacks, she sighs, and walks back to the girls sitting down. Taking some more popcorn and shoving it into her mouth. ALISON Wow... Hanna doesnt hear, but Emily and Aria do.

ARIA I cant see, why we cant finish the movie? ALISON Well, Hannas a chicken. And I personally think its a piece of shit. Moments later, Spencer comes back into the barn. SPENCER Got it. And Alison what the hell is going on in your backyard? I passed it and saw-ALISON Something about making more room for the house. Or whatever. Spencer hands Alison the number and she punches it into the phone. SPENCER The plan? ALISON Okay, Im going to pretend Im Eric Kahn. ARIA Nice. MONA [V.O.] Hello? Alison clears her voice, and tries her best to talk like Eric Kahn. ALISON Sup, Mona. Its Eric Kahn. MONA ERIC?! What--why--hey, Eric, whats up? Im just chilling, ya know. Alison pulls the phone away and giggles, the rest of the girls giggle along with Alison. ALISON Oh. I was wondering if your fridge is running.

MONA Yeah, why? ALISON Well, you better go catch it! Alison pulls the phone away, and all the girls laugh. She shushes them, then puts the phone to her ear. MONA Eric, your acting pretty strange. ALISON Shut up, bitch. You cant talk to me that way. MONA Alison, is this you? Alison hangs up, and chuckles once more. Putting the phone on the table. ALISON Okay, that was fun. EMILY I feel like we did a bad thing. ARIA Bad. But funny. HANNA I have a secret to share. ARIA Then its not a secret. ALISON Aria, telling secrets makes us friends, because were all pretty little liars-we know enough, and got enough dirt to bury someone alive. Alison smiles... FADE OUT.

INT. BARN: LATER. Aria awakens, sits up, looks at Emily and Hannas sleeping form, SPENCER and ALISON, no where to be seen. Aria stands up, revealed to be wearing jammies. She walks towards the barn door. And opens it... INT. YARD: SAME. Spencer appears, shocked. ARIA Spence-Spencer? SPENCER Its Alison, she disappeared--Aria... I think I heard her scream. ON ARIAS WORRIED FACE... BLACK.
