o Check your driver version. Compare it against the latest version on Promethean Planet to
verify that you have the most recent version. Go to http://www.prometheanplanet.com and
choose Support>ActivDrivers. If your driver is not current, update. Unplug the ActivBoard
from the computer while you install the driver and restart your computer. If the board is not
unplugged the driver may not install correctly.
o Check all connections to ensure they are secure. Check your connection through
ActivManager again.
o If you are still not connecting, reset the board. Disconnect the USB cable from the
computer. Wait 30 seconds and reconnect the USB cable. Check the ActivManager again.
o If you are still not connecting, plug the USB cable into a different port.
o You can restart your computer.
o Or swap out the computer for one that is working with a board. Test to see if that one will
connect. Alternatively take the computer in question and connect it to a different board to
see if it will connect to that board.
o Call G & G, Inc.

How do I clean the ActivBoard?

o Clean the board when the pen becomes overly sensitive, or you can feel the grit or static
build-up on the surface of the board.
o To clean you may use the following:
o Call G & G, Inc. for prices on ActivCleaning Kits
o A damp (not wet) sponge
o Mr. Clean Magic Eraser
o Dry erase board cleaner
o Water-based cleaners (glass/counter cleaners) that leave no residual film
o Do not use abrasive powders, soap, detergents, or petroleum-based cleaners or
solvents.
o Scratches cannot be repaired or removed and will make ink and stain removal in
that area difficult. Do not use metal brushes, scrapers or abrasive cleaning cloths.
