Science and Health Description Science and Health in Grade 2 Discovering the Way to the World of Science is composed of four quarters. The first quarter which is the human being and its environment includes the sense organs and human beings growth and changes. Second quarter which tackles the animals and plants includes the animal around us and the plants that surround us. The third quarter deals with matter and energy. Lastly, for the fourth quarter is about the earth and the sun. The learners are expected to open their minds that the way to discover the beauty of the environment is through science. Science plays a very vital role in the environment. It is because it has scientific explanations of every living and non-living thing in this world. This would help us see not just the beauty of the environment but the every little creature that composes our world that can makes our world a better place to live in.

Time Allotment DAILY WEEKLY 45 245 45 245 45 245 45 245

The 45-minute time-allotment daily would give the learner ample time to learn various things. Grade 2 pupils are expected to at least learn something each encounter. As you can see, our weekly time-allotment is 245 instead of 225. We added an additional 20-minute extension every Fridays for the recap of the things being discussed from the daily discussion. This would help each pupil remember and evoke the knowledge they have gained during the daily 45-minute discussion.
