Prospect Overview Macondois a moderate depthMioceneprospect the Mississippi in Canyonarea. The prospect is located entirelyoutside of any salt body. lt is locatedapproximately miles north of Bp's 24 lsabeladiscovery whichwas drilledin MC 562 during2006- The primarytargetfor the Macondo prospect is the M56, which was the same as lsabela. The targei Oeftn for Macondo is approximately 18,400'.The well will be drilledto a TD of 20,2OO'to the oiderMiocenesection test below the targetedM56. Seismicdata qualityover this prospectis very good since there is no salt involved. The well will be drilledas a verticalhole from the "A" toc-ation permittedin the as approvedExploration Planfor MC ZS2. DrillinoPlan Summary The Macondo "Marianas" well will be drilledwith the Transocean mooredSemi-Submersible in rig Mississippi CanyonBlock252at a proposed surface location 6,943'FNLand 1.036'FEL. a of in waterdepthof 4,992ft. A structuralstring of 36" x 1-/2" wall will be jetted (drilled)into positionat approximately 280' below the mud line (-10' stick up). After completion the jetting operations of and appropriate waitingtime, the runningtool will be released and a 26" x 32-112" hole will be drilledriserless with seawaterand viscous sweeps to an expectedtotal depth of 6,275' md/tvd. There is a low potentialfor shallow water flow within this section. "Pump & dump" method will remain a contingency the eventany abnormally in pressured sandsare encountered. At sectionTD, an 11.5ppg pad mud will be spottedand the well will be monitored flow priorto for pullingout of the hole. Once out of the hole, 28" casingwill be run to TD and cemented- the to mud linewith Halliburton foamedClassH leadand tail. The innerstringwill be pulledout of the hole only afterconfirmation madeof no flow and no detectable is wellhead subsidence. A 26" hole will be drilledwith seawaterand viscoussweepsto an expectedtotal depth of B,000' md/tvd. There is a low potential shallowflow withinthis section. "Pump& dump';methodwill for remaina contingency the eventany abnormally in pressured sandsare encountered. At section TD, 11.5ppg pad mud will be spottedin open hole while leaving16.0ppg mud in the rat hole. Once a staticwellbore verified, the is 22",1.0"wa||casingwill be run to Tb alongwith the DrilQuip 18-3/4"high pressurewellheadand 1.25"wall extension joints.
