Now the main point of what

we are saying is this:

We have such a high priest, one who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven, a minister of the sanctuary and the true tabernacle that the Lord, not man, set up.

Three Better Promises of the New Testament

Jesus Christ has obtained a more excellent ministry. He is the mediator of a better covenant. The covenant has been enacted on better promises.

The New Covenant

When? Who? What? Why?

But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put my law within them, and I will write it upon their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
And no longer shall each man

teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, Know the LORD, for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, says the LORD; for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

The New Covenant

Christs death is its basis for forgiving sins
