Actual Factual Note Cards and the Works Cited Master Card Works Cited Master Card: At least 6-10 sources total. Notice how the card shows your name and a number at the top right corner. Instead of rewriting this source for every card that goes along with it, place the matching number at the top corner. The bottom line tells what kind of source it is (book from library, internet site, catalogue, etc).

Shuffle cards. Place on floor. Put them in alphabetical order and you have nearly completed your Works Cited page. KAPOWEEE!!

Actual Factual Cards: Collect 10 on variety of ALL subtopics each library day. Notice how the card shows a number at the top right corner. This indicates the source and will match the #1 entry on your Works Cited Master Card. Every piece of information that comes from the source will have a matching number. You will not actually number your cards. The numbers indicate the matching source, not how many cards you have! A fact may fit into more than one category (boarding schools, politics, and home front), so list the primary subtopic at the top of your page. You can rearrange the order and shuffle it when you create the outline. The bottom line tells what kind of source it is (book from library, internet site, catalogue, etc).
