Theme : World of knowledge Topic : Sounds Around Us Focus : Listening and speaking Content Standard (s): 1.1- Pupils will be able to pronounce words and speak Confidently with the correct stress, rhythm and intonation. Learning standard : 1.1.1- Able to listen and respond to stimulus given with Guidance. a) Environmental sounds. 1.1.4- Able to talk about the stimulus with guidance. Objective: By the end of the lesson pupils should be able to listen and pronounce seven sounds correctly. Activities: 1. Guessing game ( Name of animals ) 2. Teacher introduces the sounds of the animals by showing flash cards. 3. Teacher sings the song with action and pupils follow. Teacher stresses on the sounds of the animals. 4. Pupils will sing aloud with action. Teaching aids: Picture cards Flash cards Lyrics of the song on mahjong paper Teaching and learning strategies: Kinesthetic and verbal linguistic Added values: Pupils sing the song with actions. (Creativity)
Learning Standard
: 4.1.2 Able to recite nursery rhymes and sing action songs with correct pronunciation and rhythm. Objective : By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to sing songs with action and form models of animals using plasticine with teachers guidance. : 1. Teacher will sing a song. Pupils respond with action. (They imitate the action of the animals when the names of animals are mentioned in the song). 2. Pupils sing the song loudly with action. 3. Pupils are divided into 5 groups. They are given plasticine. Teacher demonstrate how to form a model of an animals (snake). 4. Pupils follow the demonstration shown.. 5. Pupils will form their own favourite animals according to their own creativity.
