Our Mission Statement: To endow a common platform for representation to all the Medical Students of the Nation irrespective of the University they study in, grades, age, sex, caste, and region they belong to.

Aims & Objectives of IMSA: To organize Annual Medical Conventions and other Medical conferences. To promote the interest and welfare of medical students with support from the experienced achievers of medical field. To empower students with soft skills like management, leadership, and doctors to medical-professionals.
India today is home to about 335 medical colleges that churn out about 30,000 undergraduate students a year. At any given time, there are a total of about 100,000 undergraduate medical students in India. An urgent need was felt to establish a be-all-and-endall umbrella organization for all medical students in India. Hence, we came forward with the establishment of the Indian Medical Students' Association.

The IMSA-IOB Collaborative Project

IMSA with the support and able guidance of Dr. Akhilesh Pandey and the Institute of Bioinformatics, Bangalore is now committed to contribute to the task of expanding the databases that will form the indispensible part of medicine at both bench and bedside in the near future. At present work is being done on the Plasma Proteome Database.

Illuminati is an initiative on the part of ARMED FORCES MEDICAL COLLEGE, to promote research among the undergraduates as well as providing them with a platform and a worthy audience. ICMR. College and IMJSR and was held on 25th and 26th of September, 2011.

June, 2012 KARMIC (Kolkata Annual Research and Medical International Research Congress) - At Kolkata, West Bengal - KARMIC-2012 is one of the biggest events of the medical students in India. It's an attempt by the Indian Medical Students' Association to act as a connecting link between the routine curriculum of medical education and the recent advances of medical science. The Congress aims to be a cobweb of the upcoming pioneers of medical science of the country. It also aims to bring together the Indian and the Global Medical students fraternity on a common stage to bridge the gap by exchange of knowledge and experiences. July, 2012 RIMSCON 2012 at Kadapa. The Kolkata Annual Research and Medical International Congress www.karmic-imsa.in 3-5 June 2012 KARMIC-2012 is one of the biggest events of the medical students in India. It's an attempt by the Indian Medical Students' Association to act as a connecting link between the routine curriculum of medical education and the recent advances of medical science. Derived from the Sanskrit word "karma", which means "deed" or "act" and more broadly means the universal principle of cause and effect, action and reaction, that governs all life, KARMIC also believes in the deed/act of exchange and sharing of knowledge to have the effect of enlightenment of the budding medical minds. The Congress aims to be a cobweb of the upcoming pioneers of medical science of the country. It also aims to bring together the Indian and the Global Medical students fraternity on a common stage to bridge the gap by exchange of knowledge and experiences. The Event will have the following activities:
Keynote Address: Experts from different parts of the world will address the global audience and share their experiences with medical students from India and abroad to inspire them to aspire for higher goals. Workshops: These will be directed to expose students to newer concepts and opportunities outside the routine curriculum. Student Presentations: Oral Presentation Poster Presentation Case Report Presentation In the student events, the students will get the chance to present their research work

amidst peers and experts to hone their presentation skills and also compete for the prizes to be won.
