I am running, once again, for elected membership on the BSR Board of Directors, to GIVE CLEAR CHOICE, between:

1. SECRETS or TRANSPARENCY. I have ALWAYS been, and will remain committed, to open meetings and to sharing everything that I know about BSR and the issues to ALL LOT OWNERS. I, as a member of the BOD, WILL REPRESENT YOU, not the other BOD members. As an equal, fellow lot owner, I have no right to keep anything from you. WE ALL HAVE THE SAME RIGHT TO ALL INFORMATION. One of the other 2 current members of the present BODs, that are running for re-election, Terra Ferguson, voted numerous times to shut down the BSR web site forum, which is one of the very few methods that you, as a lot owner, have to acquire information and to have your say about issues. I was the BOD member at the time, that made the motion to create such a web site and I am committed to EXPANDING it so that YOU, AS EQUAL LOT OWNWERS, HAVE ALL INFORMATION AND BY INCREASED USE OF POLLS, HAVE INPUT INTO ALL BOD DECISIONS. THE CLEAR CHOICE IS YOURS!!! 2. CLOSED DECISION MAKING BY A FEW IN PRIVATE or OPEN, FULL DISCUSIONS and PUBLIC DECISIONS ON EVERY ISSUE AND PRO-POSAL THAT IS BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION BY ANY/ALL LOT OWNERS. The other 2 current members of the present BODs that are running for re-election, Terra Ferguson, and Mike Bales, voted to fine you $100 per day up to $3,000, and possible foreclosure on YOUR LOT, as an example, for violating rules that they created, discussed, and decided in private with NO EFFECTIVE NOTICE TO, OR INPUT FROM YOU, AS LOT OWNERS!! This is contrary to everything that I stand for, and tried to accomplish, during my times as a BOD member. And, if nothing else, I will let you all know, as lot owners, what the BODs is attempting to do behind your backs!!! Again, the CLEAR CHOICE IS YOURS to make!!! I have put on the table for fact gathering and informed/ unbiased decision making by the BOD many issues that the Park needs to address, such as the location of, and possible use options for, BSR owned common property, the first ever written job description and performance standards for the Park Manager, the current web site itself, and most importantly, pointing the park in the direction of being run as the $1.25 million dollar business that it is, budget and staff wise. For the last 8 months I have purposefully stayed out of the present BODs hair in order for you, as lot owners, to see their performance and to judge for yourselves, without me being a distraction, what they do or don't do. And in that 8 month period, ask yourselves what the present BODs has done, with the connivance of the 2 pre-sent members who are running for re-election, Mike Bales and Terra Ferguson?? There have been numerous secret meetings, AKA executive sessions or closed working meetings, the BOD is fining people $100 per day for rules violations that the lot owners knew nothing about and had no input into, there is increased vandalism in the Park and the need to revisit the present security company, the BOD is considering spending your dues on the purchase of an item from another BOD member that raises, at a minimum, conflict of interest questions, currently, there is your money being spent for 911 letters and numbers that don't conform to the Montgomery County Ordinances, and the list of missteps goes on and on. IF YOU THINK THAT CHANGE IS NEEDED, THEN YOUR CHOICE IS CLEAR!!!! I ask for your vote and support in shining the light of day on BSR Board of Director activities and decisions!!

My name is Terra Ferguson and I am running for the BSRHOA Board of Directors. I have been a homeowner in the park part time for ten years and full time for two. I have four children ranging in ages from 11 to 31. I have managed a very successful Pediatrics office for 21 years and also own The White House Bar and Grille. I have served on this BOD the past two years. I try to make the best decisions I can for the whole park, not just a handful. I love this park with all my heart and soul and want to help it go forward. I have served on every committee except for two or three over the years and in the past we had a few more committees than we do now. I will not run other candidates down or try to make them look bad. I feel that is dirty politics as well as trying to divert the attention of your own possible wrong doings and I have nothing to hide. I am not a fancy letter writer and I dont try to be something I am not. I am just me and do things the way I think they should be done unless I am enlightened otherwise. Many people can write wonderful impressive letters, but they are only words in my opinion. Actions speak much louder than words. I am always available for any homeowner. Hi Neighbors! My husband, Don, and I have been married 28 years & live in Salisbury, NC. We have a daughter, Mandy, who is 21. Weve enjoyed every moment that we have spent at BSR, year round, for the past 20 years. My employment experience includes serving as executive administrative assistant & manager for major corporations. In my career, I have been viewed as outstanding to above average by all of my employers because I do give it my all. Even though I didnt know everything, they never presented me with a challenge that I didnt educate myself about and performed well. My husband and I own three rental properties. I am responsible for all of the assets, liabilities, and documentation for those properties. A lot of the maintenance on those homes is performed by my husband & me so the bottom line dollar is increased. During my 20 years at BSR, Ive tried to contribute as much as possible. Im a major organizer, asking ones to help contribute. Recently, I organized a group to complete a roof over some of the back deck of the clubhouse. This group provided the labor free of charge. This will save our resort money in years to come from window/door replacements and deck board protection. I will be organizing another 50ft to be covered this year, again protecting our investment and saving money. You will find me giving and helping at most park events. I am heavily involved with the support our troops and veterans event which is very successful in giving donations to the ones who have or are protecting our freedoms. God Bless them and the USA! With the above being said, I think I would be a great asset to the BSR BOD. I have proven that I give of myself and contribute for the betterment of our community and will continue to do so. If elected, I promise to listen to my neighbors concerns. If I am asked a question that I do not have a knowledgeable answer, I will research, consult the other BOD members, and respond.
