Dude, I don't know what your problem is but these mods have been around for a lo ng time and you are not the first one to try it and all those before you were su ccessful in activating windows.....now, I have to ask, Why are you not able to a ctivate windows with this bios mod when all others (12 of them in the past) have

activated windows with the same mod that you have? I have a feeling you are not flashing correctly the bios file. Busy Kid, I checked it all again. You were absolutely right. I was not flashing correctly the bios file. Only beca use modified files in your archive ARE BYTE-TO-BYTE THE SAME AS UNMODIFIED. That is why flashing it weren't and coundn't be of any help for me. To prove it I googled for "dv6910 slic" and run into spanish webpage devoted to SLIC mods: http://www.windows7hack.com/foros/36-hp/3059-download-bios-para-un-hp -dv6910us The page gave me the link to an archive: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=4VMVAGWJ This archive was apparently earlier (if I'm not mistaken, it was August 2009) ma de by you because they were saying Gracias to you personally. And the MODDED BIO S files from this archive DO DIFFER from unmodified. I verified it twice with wi ndows "fc" command. You may download them and check for yourself if you think I' m a little bit crazy :) Once I flashed the modified one, my Win 7 became activated right from the first boot with the new BIOS (because certificate and key were already installed durin g my first unhappy activation attempts). Please DO check it yourself and fix the modified BIOS files. I can upload them i f necessary. Thank you for your help.
