Problem Statement Introduction:

Todays youth population, the so-called Net Generation born between 1980 and 1996, is undoubtedly of great interest to the consumer electronics industry. They are the rst to grow up in the digital world, with the proliferation of the Internet and the introduction of such consumer technologies as wireless phones and DVDs. Since this population segment represents the rst tech-savvy generation to enter the consumer buying population, it is of great interest to companies involved in the consumer technologies industries. In particular, the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), a trade association promoting growth in the consumer technology industry, is very interested in gaining insight into the Net Generation. Among CEAs unanswered questions surrounding this generational group are their attitudes, behaviors, and interests with regard to wireless phones. COMPU-GUIDE provides customers a easy guide to buy computer for laments.

Existing System:
The current system being followed in the computer shop is manual and its features are:

All the processes of this management system are done manually in the form of paper
work and the records are stored in the registers. Customer, Equipment, accesories and other important information are written on paper. Bills are hand written. Processors,rams,stock is manually maintained in registers.

Problem Definition: 1. The computer shop was dealing with a lot of customers and would gain sales from less people. 2. Manual dependency slowed the work. 3. Frequent errors in calculations of bills 4. Stock updating of configuration components. 5. According to the demand was prone to errors. 6. Improper guidance to the customers. 7. Complaints by customer regarding services.

Proposed System Plan:

This project is planned to be developed in Visual Basic as front end for the user interface and SQL as back end to store the records. The Menu Card (PDA/Tablet Software) will be based on Android and Apple iOS platforms. It will take care of the entire transaction of the Restaurant. This project will also provide the information related to the: A) Customer. B) Inventory status. C) Order availability. D) Staff Members of various departments. This Project will provide security so that only the authenticated users will be able to access data. The project will store the detailed records related to: Purchase order of grocery stock and other machinery or equipments. Salary of Staffs Monthly and annual reports the project will also provide to Add, Modify, Delete, Search and View the records. The Project Will Provide Print Out Facility For The Important Documents To Be Handled Over To The Management, Also The Minor Bills To Be Given To The Customer.

Silent features of the proposed system: Customer himself can check the availability of the order and place the order. CUSTOMIZATION OF MODELS EXISTING. Price and descriptions list will have reviews of the customers who have liked that product. View the sales of branches in real time -the moment the bill is printed in the branch it can be viewed - (from anywhere anytime) Get sms regarding the sales of branches automatically from the software Pre-fix or pre-plan the schedules (the daily requirement of materials) once and let the system give the list of materials needed for daily purpose Get the branch costing /food production cost delivered by software in real time. Get sms alert on the sales /purchase/ from branches. Inventory management. SMS /email module. Purchase management .

Advantages of Proposed System: With improved computerization being involved in the maintenance of details of customer and staff members of various dept. error and inconsistencies is reduced to a great extent. Proper guidance is provided to the customer regarding variousnew products. Validation of data will be ensured, only accurate valid and complete data will be stored in the database. Bill and report generation in the form of printouts will reduce manual work and increase the level of accuracy. The report generation will enable management to analyze the performance of the Computer shopand manage the administration in the better way. Customer satisfaction is also taken into consideration. Reduction in the manual work will increase the profit of management.
