COMPONENTS OF RESEARCH PROPOSAL (Format for preparing the proposal)

1) Title of the Proposed Research Study for Ph. D:

Give proposed research title 2) Introduction for the Proposed Study: Give a broad description of the topic. Explain important concepts in the study. 3) Review of Literature: Review some important and related published work and analyze them in the context of your study. 4) Establish the rationale for undertaking the study by citing the background of work done in the area, identifying logical gaps in the knowledge accumulated and justifying the need for the present study. 5) Beginning with the broad aims of the study, you may designate the specific objectives. 6) Spell out the hypothesis if any which the research intends to study. In case the study does not contain explicit hypothesis it may be mentioned so. 7) Methodology: Write a paragraph on the research methodology you propose to use.

8) Significance of the Study: Explain the importance of research study you have proposed and its significance in the context of the area/ field of research. 9) Bibliography Selected list of references used and proposed for the study should be mentioned. NOTE: The project proposal must not exceed 3000 to 5000 words.
