The idea of a book of coming out experiences of women in our community has been in the pipeline for some time now. On March 20th in LINC at 7pm Susan OBrien will host an evening for those interested in making this wonderful idea a reality. We would love to see you there.

Rock the Sham by Sally Sasso and Anne Stott tells the story of ILGO and the St Patrick's Day Parade in New York up to 1996 and The Fifth by Carol O'Keeffe and Jim Lowther continues the story on the 10th anniversary of the protest in 2000 when people went from Ireland to New York to join in and support ILGO

Saturday April 14th - LINC is hosting a Cloud 9 reunion in the Opera House (All proceeds go to Bounce Back)

Wednesdays at 6 here in LINC for the rap project and Youth Caf is on over in The Other Place on Thursdays at 6.30pm. Join them on Facebook UP Cork LGBT Youth group.

Choir
There will be NO drop in choir this Thursday March 8th. Apologies for any inconvenience but choir will be back as usual on Thursday March 15th. New members are welcome so just drop along and get involved in this choir as its a lovely way to meet people

Spirituality Day
Is hosting a full day exploration of your personal development from the perspective of spirituality. We are pleased to have the expertise of Anne Kelliher who has offered to facilitate this very special day here in LINC. Places will be on a first come first serve basis and will be limited. Brighton Pride Here We Come!


(The not so mysterious mystery tour)
Sign up 50 euro deposit: Lincs biggest and best trip yet will be to Brighton pride 31st august to the 3rd of September. http://www.brightonholidayhomes.co.uk/? gclid=CPaKvbn4wK4CFUwc4QodyWd4Jw This will be in either one big house or two smaller houses depending on sign -up numbers August 31st to September 3rd. Sign up sheet is in LINC and you need to get your name on it ASAP. Deadline for the sign-up and 50 euro deposit is 15th march 2011. The max total cost of accommodation will be 135 euro for the 3 nights. So the remaining 85 will need to be paid in June/July. Transport to Brighton from London will be by train at an approx cost of 20 pounds per head.

Out For Dinner

Another very successful evening was had last Friday with again nearly 20 people attending. We are already planning next months venue which will take place on Thursday 5th of April so if you are interested in getting the Easter weekend off to a nice start contact us her or The Other Place and register for membership its just 5 euro. More details will follow

Various Fundraisers Happening in the LGBT Community


Loafers Bar is holding its very first Shave or Dye event in aid of the Irish Cancer Society. They are looking for volunteers to Shave or Dye their hair on the night and raise a bit of money in the process! If you could contact Robyn A.S.A.P if you are interested to get a sponsor card. It is guaranteed to be an eventful night and any support you can give will be greatly appreciated!!

Becky Walsh is holding a Fundraiser to raise funds to bring essential items out to the children of Chernobyl and will be working with them for 1 week (April 1st to 8th) On the night there will be entertainment from the fabulous Tracey, Laura, The Pixie Lols and many more.

Hosted By the one and only Ms. Gay Cork Nora Dennehy. Photos done by the amazingly talented Caz Gethings Lots of acts including Lynn and Dora (SINGING), Roisin Moloney (SINGING), to name some many more just for the surprise on the night. Also some special Guest Artist Never seen before in Chambers for one night only 5 EURO ENTRY FEE PLUS FREE PASS TO RUBYS NIGHT CLUB. All proceeds collected at the door go to the cause Lots of prizes on the night including vouchers for Tattoo zoo, Hair Salons, Beauty salons, Restaurants. and many more......Please come and support this cause as Im sure we all have been affected by this at least once in our life. for every 1000 EURO raised it saves one life.

Vixens Rainbow
This week Vixen's Rainbow have a few meetups planned. We kick of Wednesday by going to a gig in the Roundy, Thursday we go and see Wallis Bird and Saturday we intend doing a pub crawl finishing with some dancing. Lesbian Line
Please note that the time for the Lesbian Line has changed from 7-9 to 6-8. Lesbian Line are still taking names for people who are interested in participating in The Helpline training- thank you to those who have signed up so far. If you feel you may be able to commit to this then please give us a call here in LINC and we pass your details over to the Lesbian Line Coordinator. We will let you know when training will commence ASAP.
