Notice of Public Hearing On Amendment


The County of Monroe intends to amend its Fiscal Year 2010 CDBG Community Development grant. The following activities are proposed to be amended: Activity 2, Fire Protection Facilities & Equipment: decrease the grant amount from $205,900 to $186,400 for this project that replaced the roof on the Sardis VFD Fire Station, purchased equipment for the Sardis VFD and ESquad and helped to purchase a squad vehicle for the ESquad. Activity 3, Parking Facilities: increase the grant amount from $17,700 to $24,300. This project constructed a 2,200 sq. foot parking lot at the Dally Memorial Library in Sardis. Activity 4, Street Improvements: increase the grant amount from $31,800 to $38,600 for this project that replaced one bridge in Lee Township and repaired a road slip on Wood Street in Sardis. Activity 5, Sidewalk Improvements: increase the grant amount from $16,100 to $23,700. This project will replace sidewalks on Mound Street in Sardis. Activity 6, Flood & Drainage Facilities: decrease the grant amount from $10,000 to $8,500 for this project that replaced culverts in Lee Township. Activity 10, Street Improvements: decrease the grant amount from $17,300 to $15,700 for this project that paved Monroe Drive in Clarington. Activity 11, Sidewalk Improvements: decrease the grant amount from $5,800 to $5,600 for this project that replaced sidewalks at the Graysville Community Center. Activity 14, Flood & Drainage Facilities: increase the grant amount from $14,400 to $23,700. This project will install catch basins and replace the sidewalk at the Laings Community Center to resolve drainage issues. Activity 18, General Administration: decrease the grant amount from $20,000 to $12,500 for administrative costs. A public hearing will be held on Monday, March 19, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. in the Monroe County Commissioners office, 101 North Main Street, Room 34, Courthouse, Woodsfield, to give citizens an adequate opportunity and comment on the countys proposed amendment before the county submits the amendment form to the Ohio Department of Development. Dominion Transmission, Inc., Proposes Allegheny Storage Project On Feb. 17, 2012, Dominion Transmission, Inc. (DTI) filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), in Docket No. CP12-72-000, an Abbreviated Application for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity, pursuant to section 7 of the Natural Gas Act, for authorization to construct, install, own, operate, and maintain certain facilities located in Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia that comprise the Allegheny Storage Project. Anna B. Cline and David Cline both died in Monroe County, Ohio, but this mineral interest was not mentioned in either of their estates and there have been no further transfers of record of this oil and gas interest. A severed oil and gas mineral interest was sold to Mary J. Berry, S.D. Berry, and William T. Berry by Royalty Deed from Anna B. Cline and David Cline, husband and wife, dated Jan. 2, 1907, filed for recording Jan. 3, 1907, and recorded Jan. 14, 1907 at volume 50, Page 374 of the Monroe County, Ohio, Lease Records, conveying 1/2 of the royalty interest on the subject property. There was no mention of this interest in S.D. Berrys estate and there have been no further transfers of recorded of this oil and gas interest. As to Mary J. Berry and William T.
