Lecture 1

Christianity & Islam brought darkness to Africa, lead to slave trade they were supposed to bring light Pope Nicholas the 5th acted as the evil in the Garden of Eden. Told a lie that Africans were at war with Celestine, therefore they were qualified to be enslaved Bishop told Pope Africans are strong enough to do the workmines Pope did this b/c he wanted gold from the Africans The present situation Of Africa is a created condition, the same forces that were responsible for the development of Europe & America were responsible for the underdevelopment of Africa Africa the first has become Africa the last Africa was not a dark continent by design of nature; it was a bright continent moving dynamically on its own until it was underdeveloped by external forces Casus Belli Created in claims that Africans are characins at war with Christendom, at which the Pope was at head, therefore they qualified to be enslaved In order to get gold for Christendom, Casus Belli was created St.Peter lied for the love of gold, lead to the human crime of slavery in Africa Queen Elizabeth sent people like John Hopkins to raid Africa Triangular trade slaves to America that produced things for trade in Europe Of all slaves Europe obtained, if the rest of Europe had x number of slaves, Britain had 4x more Slaves were responsible for the industrial revolution of Britain, Europe, America Although reparations have been paid to various people, most are denied If reparations were paid, Africa wouldnt need to borrow money with interest anymore People in Africa were enslaved by Euros within their country first, before they were shipped & scattered The willingness to pay reparations is not there Because reparations are not being paid, if the tables turn and Africans rise to the top again, it is justified that they retaliate for their sufferings Race is a construct. It is the separation of people through physical characteristics Romans back then are more civilized than we are now b/c they didnt see race; they saw virtue so much so that 7 of their Emperors were actually black Most of the European philosophers like Plato, Socrates, and others went to school at the Universities of Italy Euro civilization is a product of Roman civilization Universities were established in Cairo & Timbuktu Education went from Africa to Europe & later came back to Africa

When Napoleon saw the Sphinx with an African face, he ordered that they blow up the nose of the face b/c it signified that Africans were ahead of all The construction of the pyramids still baffles scientists Colonialism is also a form of enslavement, and is a product of conspiracy No African rulers were invited to Berlin b/c it was a conspiratorial conference of European leaders who already benefitted from the slave trade and wanted more During the colonial penetration of Nigeria, 30,000 Nigerians were killed in 1 day 11,000 Sudanese killed in 1 day They forced the bible on Africans so they can loot them while they prayed & focussed on the cross Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah of Ghana & Jomo Kenyatta of Kenya, and other leaders graduated from prison to get independence & freedom for their country Independence doesnt mean de-colonization None of the countries of today have embraced liberal democracy; they are too poor to. We shouldnt expect them to Democracy is expensive: Organize parties, campaigns, just look at how much Obama & McCain spent throughout elections The push for them to embrace something they clearly cant may be a ploy to keep them supressed Before Europe came, we had our own consensual democratic system Arabs/Muslims also took part in the enslavement of Africans. The ones that were taken by them were subjected to such cruelties that you cannot see their descendants in the Middle East. (In America you can see slave descendants, but where are the ones from Middle Eastern people?) Before Christianity & Islam, there were Africans. When the two cease to exist, there will be Africans Women, Japanese, etc. have received reparations, but Africans have not received it; why? We are all African
